Date Analysis of the module This module is about fantasy literature. Its aim is to help students understand and appreciate some original works of famous writers. This passage is the extract from the subtle knife, the second book of His Dark Materials. Students can have a better understanding of fantasy stories by reading this passage.

Analysis of the students

Most students are not good at English.so this passage is a little difficult for them because of lots of new words and complex sentences. one the other hand, students at the age of 17 are full of passion and imagination. They should be interested in this passage.

Teaching aims: Knowledge: 1.To help the students to understand and appreciate the vivid description in Fantasy literature. 2.To know the basic skill of writing a passage of narration. Ability: 1. To help the students to learn and use reading skills of literature.
