To learn the sentences: It has two big eyes.

It has long arms/long legs

To improve the students’ listening and speaking skills.

Pay attention to the pronunciation and forms of the four key words: arm leg panda monkey.

Learn to describe things by using the sentence pattern: It has... 教学步骤(teaching procedure):

Step1 warm-up

Sing a simple song and dance as the kids in the video do. Ask Ss what they have heard from the song. They maybe answer: eye ear nose and mouth. Review these words learned in the last unit. Step2 words presentation

a. Show the pictures on PPT, and learn the new words: arm (arms) Help Ss to tel the difference between arm and arms. Use a simple game-- high and low voice to practice the words.

b. Teach the word leg (legs), The teaching way is the same as above. Use group competition to read the words.

c. Play a game

The teacher give orders, and let the Ss do the action.

“Touch your ...”(eye ear nose mouth leg arm)

d. Show a toy monkey and teach the word: monkey.

Pay attention to the pronunciation: [ki] (not [kei]). Use a “magic finger”game to practice the word.

e. Show a toy panda and teach the word: panda. Pay attention to the pronunciation of “da”. play a game:pass the toy panda and read the word.

Step3 check

“Who has sharp eyes?” flash the pictures and let Ss say the words as quickly as possible. By doing this the teacher can check the Ss if they have mastered the new words.

Step4 sentence learning

Take a box and let Ss guess: “What’s in it?” Give three clues: It has two big eyes. It has long arms. It has long legs. Present the sentence pattern and teach the new words: big/long. Lead Ss to read the

sentences.

Step5 play a game

The teacher draw some pictures on the blackboard, and let the students guess the animals.

Step6 summary

Let Ss review what they have learned in this class.

Step7 Homework

Present the homework on PPT
