Learn to Care for Plants 【教学目标】

1. Knowledge aim: To help students get the meaning of some new words and expressions (vine, bush, blossom, frame, tolerate) and add some new words to enrich their knowledge about the plants. 2. Skill aim: To enable students to understand the passage by searching for functions, features of the plants and the required climate conditions. 3. Emotion aim: To develop students’ strategy of growing a plant by considering the reasonability; To encourage students to raise a plant by themselves and arouse students’ awareness of caring for plants. 【教学活动设计】

Lead-in (5mins)

Let the students look some pictures of plants to check whether students know about them. Then ask students’ advice on growing plants on our new campus. The students should give their choices as well as their reasons.
