Teaching Plan Teaching content: Unit6 Meet my family. Lesson 1 Students: Primary Grade 4 Duration: 40 minutes I.

Teaching objectives: A.

Knowledge objectives:

To help the students to understand and acquire the following new words: Parents ,aunt, uncle, cousin, baby brother, doctor, nurse, cook, driver; 2.

To guide the students to understand and use the following sentences: How many people are there in your family? My family has six people. What’s your father’s job? He/she is a cook. B.

Teaching procedures: Step1. Lead in (2’)

The teacher greets the students and play the movie clips and let the students speak who are they.

T: This is Miguel’s family. How many people are there in his family? T: Do you know who are they? Ss: Father, mother, grandfather, aunt…..

(The purpose of the design: The step is to evoke Ss’ memory about family) Step2. Pre-task (3’)

Activity: The teacher asks the students to find more relationships.

T: Aunt is mother’s sister. Grandmother is mother’s mother. Ss:….. (答案不唯一，激发学生不同思维能力和表达能力，发言者均可得到奖励)

T:Miguel has a big family and there are so many people.
