Unit7 At weekends Fun time and Cartoon time

Teaching contents

理解并熟读cartoon time,了解不同季节可以做的事情并认识到运动的重要性。

3. 正确运用频率副词always,usually,often, sometimes来谈论周末活动. 4. 掌握do 和 does 的用法及第三人称单数形式的变化规则。。

Step 1 Warming up 1.Enjoy a video.

T:What can you hear in the song? S:I can hear spring, summer, autumn, winter....... T:So this song is about ____. Ss: Seasons. T: what do you usually do in different seasons? Ss: I usually .........................in spring/summer/autumn/winter.

【设计意图：选择了一段迪士尼动画中与季节有关的视频，激起学生参与课堂活动的兴趣，进行有效的预热，引出 Cartoon time 部分有关seasons 的话题。接着自然询问What do you usually do in different seasons? 回顾grammar time 部分句型】

Step 2 Cartoon time

1.

Guess and say

T: We can do different things in different seasons, but Billy only does two things all year round. Can you guess what does he always do?

S:He always eats a lot. ............

Watch and answer Q:what does Billy always do at weekends? T:Let’s watch the cartoon and find the answer. 3.

Read and fill T:This is Billy’s life. Now let’s see what do Bobby and Sam do in different seasons. Read the cartoon time carefully and try to fill in the blanks. 4.

Q: what happened to Billy at last? 5.

Reading time:① Read after the tape ②Read in roles 6.

Let’s suggest T: Now Billy can’t get out. How can we help him? Can you give him some suggestions? S: Don’t eat too much, Billy./ Do more sports.............. T: In a word, exercise is good for us. We should do more sports and live healthily.

前面一个环节的互动学生对每个季节对应的活动有了了解，现在用guess and say, watch and answer, read and fill 等一系列活动帮助学生更好的理解cartoon time 内容。 Cartoon time内容结束以后，在启发学生帮助Billy 摆脱困境，从情感态度和价值观方面提高学生认识。】

Step 2 Fun time 1.

【设计意图：限时一分钟，让学生尽可能多的说出一些周末活动，为下面的pair work 环节做好准备】

Ask and answer T: I know much about your weekends. And now I want to introduce two new friends to you, They are Andy and Alice. Look at the pictures, can you find what does Andy always do at weekends? Ss: He always plays the piano. T: How about Alice? What does she always do at weekends? SS: She always chats with her friends on the Internet. 【设计意图：学生活动之前，老师先给出两到三个例子让学生知道如何进行问答，PPT上着重强调了动词的三单，也是本单元的重难点之一。】

学生通过小组合作，任选一幅图用句型 What does she/he usually do at weekends? She/He usually ............进行问答

Step 3 Writing T: I have known a lot about your weekends, now I want to show you my weekends. You can read my weekend loudly. 【设计意图：通过前面几个环节的学习，学生在听说读方面都有了提高，对本课的重点句型what do you always/usually/often/sometimes do at weekends? What does he/she always/usually/often/sometimes do at weekends?及其回答有了较为全面的认识。这一环节主要锻炼他们的写的能力，时间不允许的话还可以作为家庭作业。】

Step 4 Summarize and say T：Today we learned many things that we can do at weekends. I hope all of you can enjoy your weekends with your family or friends.
