Step1 Warm-up 1.

Free talk Today ,we will learn “Unit5 Helping our parents”,带读parent. “parent”means “father or mother”. “parents”

means “father and mother .”

Before our new lesson, let's say a chant. 2.

Say a chant.(出示Unit1 Sound time图片）

Q1: Look at the picture, what is Adrew doing?

He is having a drink. Q2:What is Andrea doing?

She is drawing a dress. Step2 Presentation 1.

(出示两幅图片，Mike 和Helen) T: Look at this picture , she is Helen and he is Mike.

What are they doing? Look at page 50, let's watch and match. 2.

(看动画，连线，先出示Helen的图片）

T:What is Helen doing? A、B、C or D? T:What is Helen doing in the morning? She is sweeping the floor.“sweep the floor”means “扫地”. 比较“floor”与“door”, “sweep”与“sweet”, “sweep”与“sweeping”。

T：What is Helen doing in the afternoon? Look at picture D. Let's learn “wash the dishes”.比较：“wash”与“dishes”, “wash”

与“watch”. She is washing the dishes. 3.

What about Mike? What is Mike doing? A.B.C or D? Learn “clean”. “clean the car”

means “擦车”。“clean the table”means “擦桌子”。

(出示整张Page 50 的图片) T:Helen is sweeping the floor in the morning, and she is washing the dishes in the afternoon. Mike is cleaning the car in the morning,and he is cleaning the table in the afternoon . Are your answer right? 5.

T:They are doing housework at home. They are helping their parents.What about their parents? What are they doing in the morning? T:What is Dad doing in the morning? Look at this picture, he is cleaning the car. Mike is helping him. T:What is your mother doing in the morning, Mike? My mother is cooking breakfast in the kitchen. Learn “cook breakfast”. “cook”

has two meanings. In “cook breakfast”，“cook”means “烧，煮”。

What is Tim doing in the morning? He is sleeping. (出示书上Tim 的图片)Look at this picture, Tim is in his bedroom,he is sleeping. 6.

How about afternoon? They are busy too. Look at page 49 and find the answer.First, look at this

tip,read the second paragraph and underline the key sentences. What is his father doing in the afternoon ? We don't know. What is his mother doing in the afternoon? She is cooking dinner. What is Tim doing in the afternoon? He is eating fruit and watching TV. Step3 Practice T: Let's repeat. With the help of reading symbols, imitate the pronunciation and intonation. Step4 After the story Expand your imagination. We know “what is Mike's family doing in the morning and in the afternoon?”

Expand your imagination. What are they doing in the evening?

Step5 Homework 1.Read the story after the tape three times and expand the story. 2.Help your parents do housework at home.
