Step1. Warm-up / Review

sing and act
A flash to practice to sing the song
< Help the students try to review the names of each part of the body . >
Step2. Presentation
Teacher divide the students into 4 groups, and then let them have a competition. Which group will go to the zoo first.
1. Get to know the words: big
Look at the ppt, guess the animals and lead in the new word big, teacher will teach how to read the word, and then stick the word card on the board and try to write it correctly. Then show a chant for students, let the students learn the sentence: I have…
< From the word learning, sthdents play games, spell word. learn the sentence and do TPR. This will make the word learning more interesting and more effective. >

Get to know the words: small
Use the ppt to show how to read the word correctly, and then make a chant with I like …for the students, then sing the chant together.
< This part, students will have more enthusiasm and initiative to learn Enlish by sing the chant. >
3.
Get to know the words: long
Look at the PPT and learn the pronunciation of long. Also look at the picture and let them say It has …..Then play a hide and seek game.
4.
Get to know the words: short
Use a rabbit card to show a short tail. And let them know long and short are antonyms. Then play a game to practise these two words. Finaly, tell them knowtall and short are antonyms too.

Step3. practice

Follow the ppt to do the let us do part together.

Guessing game.
< This will practice the word writing and sentence writing. Also let them have the English learning environment to learn the new words and new sentences.>
Step4. Conclusion and extension
1. let us do with the flash which the teacher show for us.
2. Topic learning
Animals are our friends, they are so lovely, we love them very much. So don’t feed the animals in the zoo.
Step5. Summer up
Let the students read the picture words and the blackboard writing to review what we have learned today.
Step6. Homework
1. Read the new words and sentences for your parents.
2. Listen to the tape 10 minutes and follow it.
