1.通过日期话题导入,首先是学生比较熟悉的话题,气氛轻松,为引出儿童节主题做铺垫。
2.通过今天、昨天的对比,识别过去式,is-was的转化,为故事的时态做铺垫。

1. Just now, we saw the beautiful pictures of Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. Look! What place is it?
It is Warsaw, Poland. 2. Do you know that? A famous scientist was born in Warsaw, Poland.
Who? What’s her name?
She was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1867.
When and where were you born?
And later she went to France. She studied and lived in France. And finally she became French. In 1934, she passed away.
So when we talk about Marie Curie we should use past tense.

设计意图
引导学生进入儿童节的话题,逐步引导学生交流有关儿童节的活动。
通过展示每个国家最有名的建筑、动物,进行国家的复习,与此同时再次熟悉国家的国旗,地形图等重要信息,做文化的渗透,为后面活动做铺垫。
通过开放性问题,发散学生的思维,头脑风暴出更多的语言话题,与此同时这样的思维问题也能够激发学生的学习兴趣。
讲练结合,让学生在使用中体会句型 I was born …
的使用方法。
教师通过简短的背景知识介绍,使得学生能够理解文章的过去时态。

What’s the name of the story?
What’s her job? What did she do?
1. What was she famous for? Two minutes for you. Read and get the question.
Ra is very useful. So she won the Nobel Prize two times. One is for her and her husband in physics. And another is for her in chemistry.
She was a very famous scientist!
2. Let’s learn more from her!
What did she study?
Was she beautiful? What was she like?
What did her parents do?
3. The story said she was kind.
Why? Let’s read again and discuss in group.
Because she helped people who has cancer. Because she made a great contribution to the world. Because she left us precious knowledge.

通过认读的方式让学生自然地说出目标语言:

第一阶段阅读,学生利用扫读的方式,获得文章的主题句。
第二阶段阅读,以细节问题引导学生细读抓细节,并使用划线的方式寻找答案。培养阅读好习惯。
问题从面到点、由易到难,引发学生深度思考。
培养学生的文本整合能力。
教师给予问题的升华,以德治学。
引导学生向居里夫人学习,深度思考自己的未来,主题升华。
