教学思路：本节课是高中英语人教2003课标版选修11第四单元，讲述的是希腊神话本课是一篇记叙文，讲述了希腊神话中的一个人物特修斯。文章共四段，通过记叙文的描写方式描写了特修斯这个人物的事迹。

本节课我的教学过程共分为四个部分：

part 01:设计了一个猜人物互动环节，通过一个今年刚刚结束的全国数学高考题维纳斯的身高这一题目来引入本节课话题：希腊神话人物，从学生熟悉的环境入手，利用学生已有的认知水平进行头脑风暴。

Part 02:因为本课涉及较多的词汇量，因此在阅读之前设计了一个熟悉单词的环节。

Part 03:阅读部分，设计了快速阅读、详细阅读、知识总结和学生展示四个环节。快速阅读部分让学生通过听朗读音频快速找出段落大意，写详细阅读部分让学生通过阅读细节判断对错并且，知识总结部分通过让学生通过分析了解文章写作类型、让学生使用基础知识填空以及通过表演的方式展示文章场景。

Part 04:知识延申，希腊文化是西方文明的一大源头，而希腊文化中的希腊神话对英语影响非常广泛。现代英语中不少词汇来源于希腊神话故事，这一部分延申了一些源于希腊神话的现当代英语词汇。

Teaching procedures: Part 01: Brainstorming: A Guessing game(2’)

Show a picture about Venus of this year’s college entrance examination. Ask students to say more figures of ancient Greek culture. (through this step,students will get interested in the topic,Greek legends.)

Part 02: New words and expressions(2’)

Let the students learn some new words and expressions.

Part 03: Reading Task Step 1: Listening and Fast reading (12’)

After reading,get the main idea of each paragraph. Para.1: Theseus succeeded to lift the large stone and learnt that his father was alive Para.2: Theseus overcame sinis Para.3: Theseus was not as tall or as strong as other young men. Para4: Theseus encountered the robber, Procrustes.

Step 2: carefully reading

Make students read the passage and try to tell ‘True or False’.

1.Prince Theseus was a strong young man. 2.Only when Theseus could lift the stone could he go and look for his father. 3.The first robber just enjoyed asking pasers-by to help him bend two pine trees to the ground. 4.Theseus chose the safe and direct road. 5.Theseus and the second robber enjoyed a splendid meal together.

Step 3 : Summary

After the second reading,make the students think about: “what is the writing style of the passage”.

The six facts: 1.

Who is the main character of this passage? 4.

How did he overcome these challenges? So it is a narration.

Part 04: Continuation希腊神话和英语词汇延申

As we all know, Greek legends have a profound effect on English culture. Some of the English words are come from it. For example: 1.Titan 泰坦在希腊神话里是曾经统治世界的巨人族的一员。

在现代英语中，Titan用来指代高大强壮的人。衍生词titanic意指巨大的、极大的。

著名游轮泰坦尼克号之所以取名为Titanic就是因为它在当时是最大的游轮。

2.Flora：古希腊罗马神话中的花神。她嫁给了西风之神Zephyr，丈夫送给她一座满是奇花异草的园子。春天时，Flora和丈夫Zephyr手挽手在园子里漫步，他们一路走过的地方百花齐放。

在现代英语里指代“植物”。

3.Muses(缪斯)：希腊神话中掌管艺术的诸神。共九位，分别是历史、抒情诗、喜剧(牧歌、田园诗)、悲剧、歌舞、爱情诗、颂歌、天文、史诗。

Muses的艺术衍生出单词music Muses收藏艺术品的地方就是museum 艺术带来的快乐便是amuse，amusement

4.Cronos：宙斯的父亲。害怕子女反抗自己，曾吞食自己的后代。就像无情的时间，吞噬一切。

因此字根“chron”意指“time”。

衍生词：chronic(耗费时间的，慢性的)：chronology(年代学，年表)。

教学反思：

在表演展示环节学生很积极踊跃，但由于词汇量不够，不能够完全的表达出来想说的内容。

2.

学生阅读速度太慢，占用了一定的时间。
