Module 8 Story time Unit 3 Language in use 一、教学目标：

1、能够正确使用下列单词和词组：

forest, once upon, decide, notice, soon, lost, around, towards, knock, either,

go for a walk, point at, be lost, hurry to do, in pieces, pick up,

once upon a time, all alone 2、能听懂简单故事中的主要人物和事件。

3、能运用一般过去式叙述过去的事情。

4、能读懂简单的故事，明白其中的主要人物，事件以及情节的先后顺序。进行简

单的阅读技能训练。

5、学会与同学合作，共同完成学习任务。通过阅读童话故事提高对英语的学习兴趣，感受学习的乐趣，提高对英语的学习兴趣。

二、教学重难点：

1、正确理解并熟练使用本模块的词汇短语。

2、掌握动词的过去式和逐步形成正确使用一般过去时的意识。

3、通过童话故事训练学生的听、说、读、写能力，掌握规则动词的一般过去式。

4、通过本模块的学习，提高学生听说读写各项技能，能读懂简单的英文故事。

三、教学过程：

Step 1: Lead-in

Watch the video of the story《Goldilocks and The Three Bears》to

lead to the lesson.

T：What is the name of the story?

S：《Goldilocks and the Three Bears》

Show

Fairy Tales

T：Do you remember this phrase:“Fairy Tales”？

What kind of words or phrases do you think of when you see “Fairy Tales”？

Brainstorm to say out as many word about fairy tales as they can to review the

words and

phrases in this module.

Step 2：Match the words with pictures

Show some pictures and names of the fairy tales and ask the students to match,

then explain the new words to the students.

Step 3: Make a short dialogue

Ask the Ss to make dialogue with their partners like this:

A: What was your favorite fairy tales when you were a child?

B: when I ______ years old I like ______ best.

A: Why?

B: ________.

Then let students show their dialogue. If they do it well, the teacher should praise

Step 4: Have the students do Activity 1 and Activity 2 of Unit 3 on page 52，ask students to

do them on their own, then check answers together. Step 5:

Read and check

Have the students read “Around the world” of Unit 3 on page53. Then check true or false.

Then ask them “How do they know the answer?”.
