教学目标:

1. 能听懂、会读、会说单词:birthday, eleventh, eighth, together.

2.能听懂、会读、会说日常用语: When’s your birthday? What do you do on your birthday?及回答It’s on… I usually…

3. 能正确的理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

4. 能了解中西方文化中不同的生日风俗习惯。

教学重点和难点:

教学重点:能正确理解并朗读课文,在教师的帮助下尝试复述课文。

教学难点:能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型询问别人的生日以及如何过生日。教学过程:

Step1. Warm up

1. Say a chant.( 说唱儿歌,通过这首chant活跃气氛,进行自我介绍,并自然导入课文。运用学生们熟知的旋律,创设氛围,引导学生将分散的注意力集中起来,使学生迅速地进入角色,主动参与课堂教学。)

2. Show some photos of May. (出示关于五月不同的美景图片,引出下一个活动)

3. Show a calendar of May to the students.

T: What date is it? 引出日期表达法的基本模式

S1: It’s…… (正好是5月11日,教授eleventh,并解释表达日期的方法) Ask the students to talk about the festivals in May. (用此种方式锻炼学生表达日期,并引出母亲节)

T:M others’ Day is in May too. Do you love your mothers?

Ss: Yes.

T: Mothers give birth to us. (引出标题)

Step2. Presentation

1.Show the picture of Miss Li and the students.

T: What do you want to know about their birthdays?

Whose? When? What? (通过对文章的预测引起学生的兴趣)

2.Watch and answer

(1).Whose birthdays are they talking about?

(2). When are their birthdays?

3. Try to answer

4. Try to write

5. Look and guess

Ask the students to look at the photo and guess what Su Hai does on her birthday. Maybe she …

6. Read and underline

Ask the students to read and underline what Su Hai does on her birthday. Check whether their guessing is right.

7. Read and judge

As k the students to read and judge the sentences to describe Mike’s activities. 8. Listen and read

Ask the students to read after the cartoon.

9. Happy reading

The students can choose one way to show the story.

10. Let’s retell

Try to retell according to the blackboard.

The boys and girls can have a competition.

11. Brain storm

Children’s birthday is Mothers’ suffering day.

What can we do for our mums?

12. Design a birthday party for mum

13. Homework

(1) Read and recite the story time.

(2) Introduce the party for mum.
