本节课为这一单元的第二课时，在学生掌握核心词汇的基础上，以学校为大背景，变换不同的场景，让学生运用There is/are…句型简单描述学校设施及功能。

要求学生调查自己学校的设施，了解学习环境，通过介绍学校设施，感受本单元所学语言在生活中的实际运用。

【教学反思】

本节课的初始我以呈现图片的形式引导学生复习三个较难掌握的设施单词（library, playground, computer room）,紧接着用多媒体动画导入本节课的会话内容，这一直观形象的教学手段紧紧吸引了学生的注意力，推动了课堂教学顺利进行。趁学生学习兴趣正浓之时，我大胆放手让学生以自主学习探究的方式探讨本节课的重点句型there is/are…的用法并作出总结，最后以一个调查表的形式让学生对重点句型进行运用汇报，对新知起到了很好的巩固作用。总体而言，这节课下来学生的表现如预期所想。
