Lesson 5:In the Living Room 教学设计一、教材分析

本单元重点讲述Li Ming来到加拿大后在Jenny家发生的事情。本课教学内容是要让学生了解Jenny家客厅的物品摆放及Jenny家人在客厅中的活动。通过本课学习,要让学生用自己的语言来谈论客厅里的物品,并要求学生运用现在进行时这一时态来描述人们在living room中的活动。最终要求学生能用篇章描述生活中的情景。

二、教学目标

1.知识与技能目标

(1)听、说、读、写客厅里的物品———TV,chair,couch等,以及描述或介绍各个房间及房间里的物品的名称、颜色、位置等。

(2)能够牢固掌握现在进行时,并将之灵活运用到课文图片的谈论及实际生活中,就家人在家里的活动用现在进行时进行简单、准确的描述。能够在实际生活中用现在进行时的篇章进行描述或交流。

2.情感及文化目标

(1)激发学生听英语、说英语、用英语和他人进行交流的兴趣,敢于用英语进行表达,并能主动利用语言环境鼓励学生根据所学知识谈论自己家房间的物品及家人,使之能在小组活动中积极参与他人合作,互相帮助,增强学生的团结合作意识。

(2)通过学习客厅物品及对家人的描述,教育学生珍惜亲情,热爱家庭,增强学生对家的热爱及对父母的尊重。

三、教学重点、难点

1.教学重点

(1)掌握客厅里的物品单词。如:TV, chair, couch等。

(2)掌握动词短语。如:watch TV, read the newspaper, play cards, write a letter, sit in a chair, sit on the couch .

(3)现在进行时的理解、掌握和运用。

(4)运用篇章进行交际和运用。

2. 教学难点

(1)掌握现在进行时以及能够熟练运用。

(2)对篇章的把握和运用。

四、教学过程

(一)Step 1:Class Opening and Review

T: Now we are ready for English class.We are learning English in the living room.But can we live in the classroom? Where can we live ?Let’s chant together,ok?

(1)Warm-up: Let’s chant together.

Living room,living room.

This is the living room.

Bathroom,bathroom.

These are bathrooms.

Kitchen,kitchen.

That is the kitchen.

Bedroom,bedroom.

Those are bedrooms.

Class: (Chant together.)

(2)Leading in: A riddle.

T:Boys and girls,here are four kinds of rooms.Now I have a riddle.This room is very big.But you can't make lunch here.You can't wash your hands here.You can't sleep here.Then you can watch TV here.Which room is it?

S1: It's the living room.

通过chant让学生简单复习本单元的重点词汇,激发了学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生尽快进入了学习状态,然后通过一个谜语导入新课。

(二)Step 2: New teaching

1.Intrueduce the objects in a living room.

T:(出示一客厅课件)What can you see in the living room? Please remember them in three seconds.

T: What can you see in the livingroom? \What else can you find?\What’s here?\What’s this?

S1: I can see______ in the living room.

S2: I can find ______ in the living room.

S3: Here is a ______ in the living room.

……

S7: This is a couch .

T: What’s the meaning of the couch?

S1: 沙发。

T:(Teaching the word to the class. )

2.Discribe the living room with a passage.

T:There are many things in the living room.Can you describe the living room with a passage?

For exemple:This is a living room.We can see a big TV. We also can see a table.There are some flowers on the table.Here is a chair. And there is a couch.Beside the couch,we can see three lamps.Above the couch,we can see a picture.It's on the wall.This is a nice living room.I like it very much.And you?

Who wants to have a try?

通过对客厅的描述,让学生初步树立篇章的概念。

T:What about Jenny’s living room?

3.Listen to the audiotape of No.2.

T: (出示 Jenny家客厅的图片课件)Can you see some people?What are they doing?

Please listen to the tape and think about these questions.

通过听力练习让学生初步认知本篇课文。

4.Read the text silently.

T: Very good,class.But now you just know about the text.If you want to know more about it,you should read the text carefully.Please read the text silently and answer these questions.

(课件出示questions.)

(1)What are Jenny and Danny doing?

通过对短语、句型的练习让学生掌握本课主要短语和现在进行式的用法。

6.Have a match.

T:Now let's have a match between the group1 and group2.I have a box.There are many objects in the box.Please take out one and say one phrase and three sentences.For exemple:(拿出一张电视图片)watch TV I am watching TV. He is watching TV. They are watching TV.If you are right,leave it for yourself.If you are wrong,please put it back. At last ,the group that has more cards is the winner.

Class:(Take out the cards and say sentences.)

Have a match between the group1 and group2.

通过小组比赛让学生巩固本课主要句型、连句成篇,并激发学生学习兴趣,活跃课堂气氛。

7.Read the text loudly and retell the text.

(1)Read the text loudly.

T:Can you retell the text?

S1:I can.

S2:Let me have try.

Ask two or three volunteers to retell the text.

T:Let's retell it together.

Lead the class to retell the text.

通过复述课文,让学生进一步利用篇章进行知识输出。

(三)Step3:Practice and strong

1.Make a new artical.

T:Class, I know a happy family.They are my good friends. They live in an apartment.They have a lovly gird.Her name is Xiaoming. What about her apartment? Let Xiaoming tell us, ok?

(课件出示四个片段)Ask the two groups to read the passges in turn.

我根据本单元内容自编了一篇短文,让知识从本课拓展到本单元,并给学生一个更大的篇章展示,为学生进一步进行篇章知识输出打下基础。

2.Discribe their rooms .

T: Where do you live? Which room do you like best? What about your family? Please take out your picture and introduce it to the class.

Ask some volunteers to describe their rooms to the class.

让学生用篇章描述自己的房间,这在复述课文的基础上又进了一步。

3.Create a new story.

T:I believe we all have happy families.We are happy every day.But sometimes we also fell sad .Look:(课件出示)Today Jenny, Danny and Lynn are playing happily.But they find Li Ming is sad.Because he misses his family.What are Jenny,Danny and Lynn doing? What is Li Ming doing? How to help him? Please imagine it and create a new story. Then act it to the class.Now practice it in small groups.

Class:(Practice in small groups.)

T: Are you ready? Which group can have a try?

Ask one or two groups to act their stories.

自编故事进行表演,这是篇章教学的升华。

Lesson6:In the Living Room 设计思路和反思邯郸市复兴区岭南路小学任伟华

本节课我和大家一起学习的是Student Book 7: Lesson6:In the Living Room . 下面我简要说一下我对本节课的设计思路和目的。

本节课以现在进行时态的语篇教学为主,同时也附带介绍房间的单词和及相关句型学习。首先我通过一个chant 开始本节课的学习,目的是简单复习旧知,同时也活跃课堂气氛。然后以一个谜语导入新课。我从介绍房间摆放物品入手,通过一个课件,让学生用速记的方法记住房内物品。然后进行语言输出,学习新单词couch和句型This is a .Here is a . I can see . I can find .然后让学生看着图片用一段话来描述整个房间,从而使其产生语篇的概念,同时也为后面的篇章学习作好准备。在进行重点篇章的学习时,我首先让学生听录音,并思考几个相对简单的判断题,使学生对语篇有一个初步的感知。紧接着我让学生默读、精读课文,同时认真思索几个问答题,然后在作业纸上写出来,从而使其掌握文章的主要信息,进一步加强对文章内容的理解,并巩固现在进行时的用法。然后,我通过小组比赛连句成篇,让学生进一步巩固现在进行时态的句型。下面我让学生跟读课文,再从整体上感知篇章,目的是让学生能够看图复述课文,把输入的语言信息以篇章的形式输出来。随后我引导学生从对living room的学习扩展到本单元所有内容,自编了一个阅读短文My apartment.包括对living room,kitchen,bathroom, bedroom四个房间的学习,把知识从本课拓展到了本单元,并启发学生模仿此文用一段话描述自己喜欢的房间,进一步增加了篇章输出的难度。然后我以创编故事的方式对篇章教学进行了升华,使篇章教学从书本知识走进了实际生活,让学生在生活中运用篇章进行交际和运用。现在学生对语篇的口头表达已经非常熟练,时机成熟,我把学习的范围从课内进一步拓展到课外,以课件的形式带学生到操场活动,考察本班学生的课间活动,并当场写一篇小作文,从而把篇章教学从口头表达落实到了书面表达。然后我留了一个homework.让学生在本周日到一个公园内参观,观察公园的人们在干什么,然后课下写一篇日记,进一步巩固所学知识。最后以一首欢快的歌曲结束呼应开头,并结束本节课的学习。
