1.Analysis of teaching contents

The topic of this unit is about seasons which are related to students’daily life. As PartB of this unit, the story is about the four colourful seasons which want to be the most amazing one. By listening and speaking and writing, students will be able to learn how to ask and answer their favourite season and know how to love and protect the nice nature.what’s more ,students will get to know that everyone has his advantages and disadvantages, we should get along well with each. 2.Analysis of students As the students in grade five, they have learned English at least for three years, they have some language basis. When talking about

seasons, they have great interests and are eager to participate in the activities. They will learn to express their opinions using target language with the teacher’s help.

3.Teaching aims Knowledge aims: a.Students will be able to understand and say the following sentences: Which season do you like best? I like...best. Why? Because... b.Students will be able to understand the story Ability aims: students will be able to listen and use target sentences in their daily life. Moral aims: encourage students to find the beauties and love and protect the nice nature.

4.Teaching key points: Students will be able to understand and say the following sentences: Which season do you like best? I like...best. Why? Because... 5.Teaching difficult points: Students will be able to understand the true meaning of the story 6.Teaching approach: Task-based, communicative, top-down, etc. 7.Teaching aids: multi-media, blackboard, pictures,cards 8.Teaching procedures:

Step1. Pre-reading(t’s a good way to arouse students’ interests and

review by and playing a game) 1.Greet students. 2.Play a game(rule:Stand up and read the words and phrases quickly,the faster one will get stars 3.Write the title: Who is the most amazing?

Step2.While-reading (In this process, students will learn to use some expressions: What’s your favourite Why? Because... What’s the weather like in ...? What colour is ...? What can you do in ..)

①Tell the story of Spring with feelings and ask the questions：

What’s the weather like in spring? What colour is spring? What can you do in spring? ②Have students read the part. 2.

①Have ss guess what Miss summer will say according to the part of Miss spring ②Teach :summer vacation ③Read the part in groups 3.

Use the same ways to tell the left ones. 4.

Have the students read the whole story and get some information by filling the blankets.

Because.. 2.Think and discuss: If you are their friends ,what you want to say to them ? 3.Teacher shows her favourite season by some pictures,then have ss paint their favourite season and communicate in groups. Step4.Introduce some experience of tripsin the four seasons、Summary and homework 1.
