II. Teaching aims:

Students can understand and read a passage with the help of e-pens. 2.

Students can find key words of a passage, and use key words to retell the passage. III. Important and difficult points in teaching:

1. How to find key words while reading. 2. Retell festivals with key words. IV. Teaching aids:

CAI, e-pens, answer sheets, cards.

V. Teaching time:

VI. Teaching procedures:

Step1. Warming-up

1.

Greetings T: Class begins! Good afternoon, boys and girls. Ss: Good afternoon, Miss Kuang. T: Nice to meet you! Ss: Nice to meet you, too! T: What’s the weather like today?

Ss: It’s sunny. T: Are you happy today? Ss: Yes! T: Sit down!

以师生间的问候进入课堂,迅速营造温馨,愉悦的教学气氛,使师生均能以良好的精神状态进入课堂教学。

Introduce evaluation system. T: Today we will talk about festivals (point to the word, and ask students to read it). If you behave well, I will give you a present. This is for boys, this is for girls. Are you ready? [设计意图]

告诉学生本课的评价机制,促进学生以积极认真的态度对待课堂。

Step2. Presentation & Practice 1. Talk about festivals. T: What festival do you know?

2. Talk about Harvest Festival. T: Wonderful! You have a good memory. In last class, we talked about Harvest Festival. Who can tell me when it is? (Write down the word: Harvest Festival.) S: It’s in September. T: Yes, very good. Where do people celebrate this festival? (Write down the word: September.) S: In school, in the UK. T: You are so clever. Yes, every school in the UK will celebrate the festival! (Write down the word: in the UK.) So Harvest Festival is in September, it’s in the UK. What do they do on this festival? Please turn on your e-pens, and read this passage, then tell me the answer. [设计意图]

回顾上节课的学习内容,并引出这节课将要解决的任务:在课文中找关键词回答丰收节会做些什么。

检查学生的点读学习效果,并把关键词呈现在板书上,为接下来的根据关键词复述节日环节作铺垫。

Look and retell. T: Here are some pictures of Harvest Festival. Can you talk about this festival with key words and pictures? I’ll give you 2 minutes to practice with your partners. S: Harvest Festival is in September…

让生根据板书和课件中的图片来复述节日的相关信息,并给与一定的指导,引导学生利用关键词描述节日活动。

Fill the blanks and read the passage. T: Let’s retell the story of Harvest Festival together! [设计意图]

引导全部学生利用关键词回顾整个节日的内容,是对关键词的又一次强调,加深孩子们对关键词的运用。

Step3. Extensive reading 1.

Talk about Christmas. T: Do you like Harvest Festival? Today, I will show you another festival. Can you say its name?

S: Christmas. T: Who can tell me when it is? (Write down the word: Christmas.) S: It’s in…

T: Is it in September? S: No, it’s in December! T: So clever you are! Where do people celebrate this festival? (Write down the word: December.) S: In the UK. S: In the US. T: Do we celebrate it in China? S: Maybe! T: So we can say: many countries celebrate it. (Write down the word: many countries.)

引出拓展阅读的内容,并谈论圣诞节的时间与相关国家,为下一个环节作铺垫。

2. Listen, read and answer.

T: How do people celebrate Christmas? Do you want to know? Please take out this paper, listen and read it carefully, then answer the questions on the TV. 1. They help parents _____________. A. wash clothes B. buy presents C. decorate house 2. They decorate __________. A. Santa and elves

B. Christmas tree C. rollerblade 3. They hang ________ outside the house. A. clothes

(After listening, Ss use e-pens to point out answers, and then their answers will be showed on the screen. T praises good students, and explains the answer one by one, then sticks the key words on the Bb.) [设计意图]

让学生带着问题去听音理解课文,并及时反馈听读理解的效果。运用点读笔互动系统能及时反馈每一个学生学习的情况,方便教师及时给与评价和进行针对性的讲解。学生回答的内容就是节日的活动,所以在讲解的时候教授单词卡,并且把单词卡粘贴在黑板上,为后面的复述环节作铺垫。

相比听音选择这个任务设计更难。这个环节引导学生自主学习,归纳关键词。教师及时把学生回答的内容进行讲解和板书。

Look at the pictures, and try to introduce Christmas. T: Look at the pictures. And try to introduce Christmas with key words. You can discuss with your partners for 2 minutes. [设计意图]

让生应用板书和关键词来复述圣诞节的活动,又一次紧扣抓住关键词理解课文、复述课文的主旨。

Step4. Practice Do a presentation: My favourite festival? [设计意图]

学习了两个节日以后,让生根据教师的相关提示来表达自己最喜欢的节日,由课内拓展到课外,由理论联系到生活,使学生在这个环节畅谈喜好,达到提高学生语言综合运用能力的目的。
