1. Get the new words ready for each lesson before class. 2. Preview the text of lesson 16. 五、学习流程

Step 1 Lead in Ask the students questions for their feelings now. Then lead the words: happy, sad. T: How do you feel? Ss: I feel/ I’m happy/ sad.

Step 2 Listen and Read the lesson Now let’s listen to the tape and read after it. Pay attention to the words that they must read correctly. Answer the questions. 1) How does Jenny feel? 2) Is Danny hurt? 3) Is Danny tired? 4) How many donuts does Danny’s mother want him to eat?

5) Is Danny’s mother right?

Step 3 Work in pairs

How do you feel today? Make up a dialogue. Example: A: How do you feel today? B: I’m not happy.

A: What’s wrong? Are you hurt/ tired?

B: Yes, I am. / No, I’m not. I’m …

Step 5 Explaining Culture Tip

Step 6 Practice Listen to the tape and read after it. Then let some students read in roles.
