Module5 Cloning《Writing》

1教学目标

1.To train the students` abilities of reading and writing.

2.To learn some important vocabulary. 2学情分析

Students have finished this module and learnt all the useful expressions from reading, listening and grammar part, so they are eager to put them into practice. 3重点难点

1.How to improve the students` reading and writing abilities effectively. 2.How to understand and master some important vocabulary.

4.1第一学时

4.1.1教学活动

活动1【导入】Vocabulary＆nbsp;and＆nbsp;Reading＆nbsp;

1.Activity 1-Pre-reading

1) Ask the students to check the meanings of the words and expressions in activity 6 on P66 and activity 1 on P64 to review them.Predict which words in activity 1 on P64 may appear in the text according the title.

2) Work in pairs to answer the questions in activity 2 on P64 to test how much the students know about cloning and DNA.

2.Activity 2-Scanning

Scan or skim the text as fast as you can to get the main idea of the text and find the answers to activity 2 on P64 in the text directly. [Activity 3 on P64]

3.Activity 3-Carefully reading

Read the passage again carefully to get more details and finish activity 4 on P64 and activity 5 on P65.

4.Activity 4-Language points[Ref: Notes to the text]

Read through the passage with the students together paragraph by paragraph to explain some language points.

5.Activity 5-Post reading

Ask the students to read the passage again quietly and individually to understand it better.

If possible,ask the students to answer the questions in activity 6 on P66; if not,the questions can be omitted. 活动2【练习】Writing
