I show the picture to the class. First the students say them together, then they say them one by one. I lead in a game “What’s missing?”

1. Lead in “letter”

I show a picture. I lead in “letter” with “How can I send it to my friend?”

I write “letter” on the blackboard.

Let the class say together, then say it one by one I tell them “We can write a letter on paper.”

2. Lead in “e-mail”

I lead in “e-mail” with “I can write an e-mail. It’s fast.”

Then I show the picture of e-mail to them. And ask them practice to say and spell. I tell them “We can write an e-mail on a computer.”

3. Lead in “postcard”

I lead in “postcard” with “What else? “

I show the postcard. And ask them practice to say and spell. I show two postcards to tell them “ One postcard, two postcards.”

I lead in another game to practice “a, an”

And ask them say together. 5. Practice

6. Lead in “send”

I lead in send with “I want to send it to my friend.” Let them guess what it means? The class guess out “邮寄”。

Practice to say “send……to……”. 7. Lead in listening exercise I lead in listening exercise with “Where can we buy postcards?”

And ask them to look at the screen. I show the questions on the screen. And ask them to listen to the dialogue carefully. First the class reads them together. The class watches the little film. Then answer the questions. 8. Read the text I show the question and let them answer. First let the girls read Jenny’s dialogue together and the boys read Danny’s and Li Ming’s dialogue. The students act them together.

Then I let the volunteers act them and answer this question. 9. Practice

I tell them that May 11th is Mother’s Day, I want to buy a postcard for my mum.

And I lead them act a dialogue in groups.

The volunteers play.
