教学过程

Step1. Class Opening (5 minutes) 1. Sing a song: Singing our country Do you know why do we listen to this song? That’s right .Today we’ll talk about our country, China. Step2: New Concepts (30 minutes) 1. Show a map of China and ask some questions: a. What city is it?( Point to the star on the map.) b. What’s the capital (city) of China?

c. What do you know about Beijing?

(Maybe Ss can’t say anything in English. Tell them Chinese is OK.) 2. What do you know about China? Listen and fill in the chart.

a. Play the audiotape for Part2 of the text. Ask the class to listen first and then to read aloud with the audiotape. Play the audiotape twice. 4. Show some pictures on the screen
