特殊句式之强调句型

Learning aims: To review the emphasis structure

To ask students to try to use the emphasis structure in your daily life. To improve students the ability of communication with foreigners.

Key points and difficulties: To master the flexible usage of the emphasis structure Learning procedures: Step 1. Conclude the usage of

the emphasis structure It was Mike and Mary who helped the old man several days ago . It was at Christmas that John Smith gave Mary a handbag.

It was in this palace that the last emperor died It is a pen that I give you. It is Tom who I love most. 总结归纳：强调句型的陈述句形式为It is/ was 被强调部分+that/ who句子的其它成分。被强调部分可以是主语、宾语或状语。被强调的部分如果是人，既可以是that也可以用who。

Step 2. Discuss and conclude other two main forms about the usage of

the emphasis structure (1)

强调句型的一般疑问式

①Was it you that broke the window the other day? ②Is it Miss Li who teaches you English? ③Was it in your school that you lost your dictionary? 总结归纳：强调句型的一般疑问句形式为Is/Was it 被强调部分+that/ who句子的其它成分。

强调句型的特殊疑问式

①When was it that you lost your bike? ②What is it that makes you success? 总结归纳：强调句型的特殊疑问句形式为特殊疑问词+is/was it 被强调部分+that/ who句子的其它成分,也就是说其构成为特殊疑问词+强调句型的一般疑问句形式。

对“直到……才……”即（not…until….）的强调：

I didn’t realize the importance of communicating actively with others until I was in that company.(讨论后给出正确答案) It was not until I was in that company that I realizeF the importance of communicating actively with others until I was in that company. 总结归纳：强调not…until….时，其构成应该为It is/ was not umtil…+that+句子的其它成分,that所引导的从句中的谓语动词应该用肯定式

Step 3. Conclude the key points

被强调成分为句子主语时，强调完后，需要注意主谓一致的问题，与原主语的时态人称和数一致，跟that / who 无关。.

It is Tom who fixes the computer. It is they who break the law first.

强调not…until….时，注意that 所引导的从句的谓语动词不仅要用肯定式，还要注意时态。
