1.Enable Ss to listen,speak and recognize the words:“tall,strong,thin,friendly,quiet”and try to use them in daily life fluently.

2.Enable Ss to understand,recognize and speak the sentences: “He is.../Who is he ? ”in the certain situation fluently. 3.Enable Ss to understand the meaning of the part“Let’s chant”.

4.Encourage Ss to get along well with each other.

1.T shows a photo of a super star and asks:Who is he ? Ss: He is...T:Is he short ? Ss:No,he is tall.

T: Read after me .short-tall

T shows another photo and asks: Who is she ? Her name is ...She

is friendly.Lead Ss to lead the other words by the same way.

Ask the Ss to pay attention to the two words: her/his.

2.Boys and girls. John has a good friend. His name is Mike.

Ask Ss to read the dialogue:

A:I have a good friend.

He’s tall and strong.

B: Who is he?

A: His name is Mike.

3.Practice

Ask Ss to talk about their friends like this:

A: I have a good friend.

She’s short and thin.

B: Who is she?

A: Her name is ...

4.Chant

Look and chant:
