I、单元教学目标
A. Language knowledge (语言知识):
1、能够在语境中学习理解并运用本单元核心单词及短语supermarket, post office, restaurant, next to, between 对场所及方位进行描述。
2、能够在语境中学习理解以下单词及短语。例如:bakery, nice, busy, Robinsons, merry-go-round, row a boat, Nanjing Road, Shanghai First Food Store, Peace Hotel, Century Square. 3、
能够在语境中学习理解并运用本单元核心句型Is/Are there…?来询问地点并会使用Yes, there is/are./No, there isn’t / aren’t.进行回答。

运用教学资源,提升课堂品质
——4AM3U2 Period 2 Nice places in Jiading教学设计说明

本次教学的内容是上海版牛津英语4AM3U2 Around my home这一单元第二课时,主题为
“Nice Places in Jiading”。本单元的内容十分贴切学生的实际生活,也能激发学生的学习兴趣。以下对自己的教学设计进行了简要说明:
(一)利用课本资源,优化课堂教学
本课时教学通过新来的同学Jill来嘉定旅游,是以课本内容蓝本,对其进行再构而形成主体文本。主体文本既基于课本,又适当拓展;既紧扣教学目标,又适度延伸。教材只是例子,教师应“用教材教”而非“教教材”。因此,合理利用课本资源并结合其他资源进行拓展延伸对优化课堂教学,提升课堂品质有着不可忽视的作用。
(二)利用身边资源,创设生活化语境
本单元的重点是学会用There be句型对家周围的场所进行问答及描述。围绕朱浦老师的“基于单元整体进行单课教学设计”的理念,我结合单元主题将三课时的单课话题分别设定为Period 1: Places around my home , Period 2: Nice places in Jiading, Period 3: A busy road in Shanghai,由学习家周围的场所到学习嘉定名胜,再到学习上海南京路上的景点,由近及远,十分符合学生认知规律。本课为第二教时,我选取身边资源——嘉定名胜作为教学资源,从学生熟悉的景点入手,来介绍每个景点的特点、物、活动及人的感觉。
(三)利用文化资源,注重体验与情感
英语教学应寓教于乐,创造虚拟情境,让学生体验真实生活。语言的学习离不开语境的创设,通过图片、视频等为学生创设了丰富的语境,让学生在情境中感受语言、学习语言、使用语言。嘉定城作为历史文化名城,本是就是一个非常好的文化和教学资源。本课以嘉定名胜为教学资源,通过介绍罗宾森广场、孔庙、秋霞圃、古漪园,让学生了解嘉定名胜,学会介绍嘉定名胜,教给学生实用的英语。本课注重学生体验与情感,让学生在学习过程中培养细心观察生活的习惯,并在最后结合一句谚语“East or west, home is the best”,激发学生热爱嘉定、热爱生活的情感。
