I hope you enjoy your trip to the Embassy. Chinese students are like students everywhere---they like sport music, fashion and travel ---so it will be easy for you to find topics that they are interested in. For many of them it will be their first time in England, so you could ask them about where they have been, what they have seen, what they like and don't like and how they spend their spare time and so on. Of course, it is a good idea to keep off topics like politics and religion, as people have different opinions, and they may not agree with you. As for the boring things, they vary from person to person.
