Greetings. b. Free talking T: I’m your new English teacher. Do you want to know something about me? Ss: ... T: OK. Now it’s my turn turn. And I also have some questions for you.

What’s your name? Do you like tasty food? What’s your favourite food? Why? Ss: ... T: We all have our own favourite food. How about our old friends, animals? Guess!

What is their favourite food? (通过师生的相互提问交流以及对动物喜爱食物的猜测，拉近师生距离，融洽课堂气氛，激发学生对教师的好奇和对课堂活动的兴趣，同时导入新课，为新课的呈现做好铺垫。）

Step2. While-reading a.Enjoy the first step of reading: Let students guess what the animals’ favourite food is, then read the dialogue and answer the questions. b.Enjoy the second step of reading: Skimming: what are the animals’ favourite foods. Scanning: find out the reasons. c.According the answers of those two questions above. Help the kids to understand: ‘Carrot juice’

‘I’m heavy, I have to eat vegetables.’

d.Enjoy the third step of reading: Listen and Repeat. Reading by yourself. Performing.

e.Enjoy the fourth step of reading: Help the kids retell the dialogue. (通过预测，提升学生阅读的兴趣；通过层次不同的略读与精读，培养学生阅读策略，在自主阅读中培养学生获取信息以及处理信息的能力；通过听读，自读，表演以及对课文的复述，加大信息的输入量，为后续的输入做好铺垫。）

Step3. Consolidation and Extension a.Ask the kids to talk with their partners: How to keep fit? b.Helping the kids set up the concept of healthy diet. c.Enable the kids to understand what the balanced diet is and design a menu of it for our school. （由Zoom的肥胖，引导学生讨论如何保持健康，帮助学生树立健康的运动意识，培养良好的饮食习惯。）

Step4. Homework a.Ask your partners what their favourite food is and write them down. b.Give some good advice to your friends about healthy diet. 5.
