本节课内容来自开心学英语第4册第六单元第一课时，通过介绍my friends以及询问他们的去向引出新词shopping mall, restaurant, hospital, beach, bank和学习句型Where are you going? I am going to the…以及Are you going to the …? 并结合学生的生活实际运用新学句型，使英语学习更贴近生活，更突显英语的实用性，激发学生学习兴趣，提高他们的学习自信心与热情，更好地运用教材，使教材为教学、为学生服务。

四年级学生的英语知识有了一定的积累,从简单的词(Word)、词组(Phrase)发展到分句(Clause)、句子(Sentence),而且对复杂的句子也有了一定的了解。对英语有好奇心，喜欢听他人说英语。能根据教师的简单指令做游戏、做动作、做事情。能交流简单的个人信息，表达简单的情感和感觉。能书写字母和单词。但他们注意力集中的时间短，喜欢多样的游戏性教学，单一的教学手段会让学生很快就觉得没有新鲜感，失去积极性，因此生动活泼形式多样的教学活动对保持学生积极性和注意力很重要。
