Story time Teaching objectives: 1. Language objectives Can read and use :

a. Train students to abide by codes of conduct and school rules .

PPT Teaching method:

Pair work , Group work Teaching procedure: 1. Warm up a. Oral English practice .

Talk about the weather .

b. Sing a song . ( " School days" )

Ss watch the video and sing the song together . (设计意图:让学生们在英文歌曲活动中进入课堂,快速进入英语氛围。) 2.

Presentation a . Revision

Shows the PPT , review the phrases you've learned . (设计意图:复习学过的词组、句子,既达到复习的效果,也为下面的学习做铺垫。)

b. Lead in

Shows the PPT .

T : What do you see ?

Where are Zoom and Zip ?

T answer the questions according to the PPT .

Ss : They’re in the cinema / seeing a film .

c. Presentation of the story .

●T plays the video to Ss .

After the watching ,gives some questions :What’s the film about ? What is the animal in the film doing ? Ss : Gorilla . It’s about a gorilla . It’s eating a banana . Learn the word “gorilla” .(Shows the picture of 2 .) ●T shows the PPT of pictures 4 and 5 .

T : The film is very good . But why are the tiger and the rabbit is not happy ? Ss guess the answer according to the story .And give the answer : Maybe Zoom and Zip are not quiet ./ Because Zoom is eating . ●T plays the video again .Then Ss give the exact answer :Because Zoom is eating popcorn . They are making noise . Zoom and Zip are talking ,too .

Then Ss read the pictures 3--5 after the video . T helps Ss to understand the words : noise , popcorn , exciting . ●After that , Ss act the picture 5 in pairs . ●T plays the last picture .

T : Now Zoom and Zip are quiet . But what happens next ? Ss : It’s not clean . T : Yes , Zoom makes the cinema very dirty . The popcorn is everywhere . What is the sign about ? T helps Ss to understand the word “sign” , and Ss read after . Ss answer the question according to the picture . Ss : Keep clean . 3. Practice

a . Ss watch the video , and read after it .

b . Reading .

Students imitate the tone of voice and play the role in groups . c . Group work . Talk about the bad behavior in your life . (设计意图:小组练习,加强小组合作意识,培养学生的合作能力。)

d . Write more signs for the cinema .

T : Let’s write more signs for the cinema , OK ? Ss discuss the topic in groups and show their signs to the others . For example , “No eating .”

(设计意图:培养学生的语言能力和生活中运用英语的能力,在生活中发现并使用英语,能够培养学生发现学习英语的兴趣。)

e . Act the story in groups and perform it . 4. Homework

a. Act the story .

b. Write more signs for public place . (设计意图:课下保持学习的持续性,加强知识与生活的联系。)
