1. Learn the words:
1) Show several dolls or puppets wearing the clothes in “Look and learn” on page 23 of the Student’s Book. Ask the students some questions. Provide them with the answers if the students cannot say the words.
eg.T: Is this a shirt?
S1: Yes, it is.
T: What is this? It is a jacket. Please follow me. Jacket

2. Learn the phrases:
1) T: (show the flashcards for a pair of gloves) Gloves. G-L-O-V-E-S, gloves, a pair of gloves. S: Gloves. G-L-O-V-E-S, gloves, a pair of gloves. 2) Teach: a pair of socks/shoes /chopsticks/shorts T: “a pair of” should go with singular verbs. eg. This is a pair of gloves.
3) Learn more phrases: a bottle of, a cup of, a piece of 3. Ask and answer: 1) T: (hold up the flashcard for hat in the hand) Look! What’s this?
S: It’s a hat. T: (stick the flashcard for a pair of shoes on the blackboard) What are they?
S: They’re shoes. 2) Work in pairs.
Post-task activity 4. Do Part A and Part B on page 31 of the workbook. 1.
Do Part C on page 32 of the workbook. 1) Listen, match and write. 2) Say something about the pictures. eg. Ben has a pair of gloves. Peter has a pair of shoes. Alice has scarves. Kitty has some hats.
2. Make a dialogue Divide the students into groups of four to six. Have them ask and answer questions using the flashcards for clothes. S1: What is this? S2: It is a scarf. S1: What do you have for winter? S2: I have a scarf and a pair of gloves. Listen to the tape and read page 23.

Have the students answer your question and match the pictures with the word cards they have. eg. T: (Point to the picture of a scarf) What is this? S1: It is a scarf on the blackboard. 1. Divide the students into groups of six. Practise the dialogue.
2. Have the students work in small groups and draw a person or robot. Remind them to dress up the person or robot. Then they should choose one group member to go to other groups and start a dialogue.

S3: (Point to the shoes) What are these?
S1: They are shoes.
