第五课时
一、教学目标
1.语言知识目标:
(1) 能听懂、会说单词:Guangzhou Tower, Pearl River, tall buildings , fast food. (2)能听懂、会说、会运用句子“There were… There are …. Now.”
2. 语言能力目标:
(1)能运用所学的语言知识点介绍自己熟悉的地理环境的前后变化情况。
(2)能运用知识对自己身边的环境变化进行描述。
3. 学习策略目标:
结合当地的学生熟悉的区域优势展开学习,培养学生积极自主学习的能力。
4.情感态度目标:
通过对知识的学习,让学生明白过去与现在的差别、变化,从而教育学习珍惜现在的美好生活,为今后现代化的发展多作贡献。
二、教学重点,难点。
1.通过阅读文中的片段,能从中获取信息,完成练习和表格。
2. 根据学习联系实际环境的变化完成小练笔。
三、教学准备
1. PPT课件,旅游图片,练习纸。
四、教学过程
Step 1 Warm- up
Greeting T: Today is a fine day, I will take you to a nice place. Do you know Where it is?
(同时教师根据情况作适当提示)
Ss:Shangchuan Island. Feisha Beach. Step 2
Lead-in
T: Yes, we are going to Feisha Beach. We know there are lots of people come here for vacation in summer. Let’s look at some photos of Feisha Beach and Shangchuan Island.. T: But do you know ,what was it like before?
Ss:…….
T: There were small houses , little shops before. There weren’t any fast food. There were many dirty roads in our town. And there is no buses or cars. We just walk to other villages. 【设计意图:通过老师讲述本地过去与现在的变化状况,使学生初步了解过去与现在的区别。同时,学习了单词“a little shop,fast food”,这些单词学生之前已经接触过,现在加强认识巩固。】
Step 3 Presentation 1.
PPT
出示Wang Yang, Sam, Judy的照片。

T: I have three friends, they introduce something about their hometown. Let’s listen and choose the correct sentences from the box. ▲
There are so many cards and taxia ▲ The chocolates were only 1 dollar.
▲ Look, that is Guangzhou Tower by the Pearl River.
【设计意图:通过几位朋友的介绍,边听边根据内容选择正确的句子,通过听的训练培养学生获取信息的技巧。】

Read the first paragraph and underline the key words. T: Yes, Our life is changing every day. Let’s read about Wang Yang. Finish the questions and find the key words. (1)

What is her city like now? (3)
Where does Wang Yang live? T: Let’s check the answers.

根据板书和PPt学习Guangzhou Tower,Pearl River T: Wang Yang lives in Guangzhou. Look at the building, do you know its name? Ss: Guangzhou Tower T: Where’s it?
Ss: It’s by the Pearl River.
T: Clever! It’s by the Pearl River.

Read the the second and third paragraph ,then fill in the blanks.
T: Now let’s read about Sam and Judy. While you reading, please underline the key words and new words. Name Before Now Wang Yang Small houses Tall buildings,Guangzhou Tower,Pearl River
(Give students time to finish the answers, then check it together) 【设计意图:通过阅读让学生独立完成其他两项的表格信息,培养学生自主学生

Read the sentences of the reading
(1) Read aloud
a. Look, that is Guangzhou Tower by the Pearl River.
b. Most building were small houses. c. There wasn’t any fast food.
(2)
Fast food
T: I think fast food isn’t good for our health. So we shouldn’t eat more. (3) Ask and answer questions a. How much was the chocolates near Judy’s home before? b. Was there fast food before?
Is fast food good for our health? c. Were there most tall buildings in Wang Yang’s city? d. Are there many cars and buses on the road? 6. Read again. Match the pictures with the people.
After a few minutes ,check the answers togethers.
【设计意图:通过齐读文中一些有难度的句子,加强对短文的巩固,再来完成连线练习,从易到难,层层递进体现学习的层次性。】

Read in group. (1)学生四人小组大声朗读课文,在这过程中教师巡视,检查学生的正音。
(2)检查小组的阅读展示情况。
【设计意图:通过四人小组朗读课文活动学生之间可以起到帮辅作用,内化语言,培养学生之间的合作精神。】

Practice
Retell the story. (1)
利用思维导图,引导学生示范复述课文。

Group work.
学生利用思维导图小组进行复述短文。

Extension
(1)
布置任务。
T: Now we know something about the cities before and now. Look at the words and pictures, let’s write something about it. (2)
引导学生先口头描述,然后再写,教师巡视指导。
(3)
组内分享写作成果。
【设计意图:看图仿照课文写句子,达到以读促写的目的,提高学生的语言运用能力。】

Write 5 or 7 sentences about your hometown and share with your friends.

Homework
1. Read the passage for twice.
2. Write 5 or 7 sentences about your hometown and share with your friends. 【设计意图:通过作业的设计供学生练笔,加强对知识的掌握并把课内知识延伸到课外。】
