Unit 4 Seeing the doctor

(Period 1) 一、教学目标: 知识目标：

1.能正确理解，掌握对话内容，并能朗读、表演对话。

2.能正确听说读写单词：headache, toothache, check，feel，cold ,dentist，anything；词组：see the doctor, have a rest, take some medicine, drink some warm water，brush one's teeth，before bedtime 3.初步掌握句型 What's wrong with you ? I have... What should I do? You should... 能力目标：

1.在生活中能正确运用本课的重点句型

2.培养学生听说读写能力和交际能力。

情感目标：

通过情景的设置和对话表演，激发学生在生活中乐于使用英语的兴趣。

学情分析: 本课时的话题是看病，教学重点是表示建议的情态动词should和否定式shouldn’t的用法。有关询问和描述病情的句型What’s wrong with you?和I have a headache/...也是本单元的另一个重点教学内容。学生在四年级下学期时已经学过表示疾病的单词fever，cold，cough，headache以及句型What’s the matter?因此可用此句型引出新句型What's wrong with...?并进行教学。本篇课文内容不难理解，关键在于如何创设情境，帮助学生运用句型进行对话。

二、教学重难点: 1.能正确理解，掌握对话内容，并能朗读，表演对话。

2.掌握单词headache, toothache, check，feel，cold, dentist，anything；词组：see the doctor, have a rest, take some medicine, drink some warm water，brush one's teeth，before bedtime 和句型What's wrong with you? I have... What should I do? You should... 3.培养学生听说能力和交际能力。

Step1 复习旧知，学习生词，导入新课 1.

T: I point, you say. (师指着自己的arm，head，ear等身体部位让学生说出单词。) 2.（出示课件）They are parts of our body. If one part of our body feels hurt, we can say ...ache

3.学习单词headache, toothache, earache, backache...

4.导入新课：Show two pictures of Su Hai and Mike. They both fell unwell, so they are seeing the doctor. Lead in the title. Step2 学习story的第一部分

1．Listen and answer：What's wrong with Su Hai？

听录音，回答问题。并学习句型What's wrong with Su Hai？（ = What’s the matter with Su Hai？）和单词 check，feel，cold 2. Watch and choose：What should she do？

看动画，选择Su Hai应该做的事。并学习词组：have a rest, take some medicine, drink some warm water 3.巩固句型：She should ... She shouldn’t...

Listen and read 听录音，跟读课文，注意语音语调的模仿。

Step3学习story的第二部分

1.Read and fill：What’s wrong with Mike ? What should he do? 跳读，快速寻找信息并完成表格. Case of illness 病例

Leaning tip: 阅读时，可先划出相关的词句，再进行填表。

2.交流答案，并学习单词：dentist，anything和词组：brush one's teeth，before bedtime 3.巩固句型：What's wrong with Mike？He has a toothache.

Step5 Choose and say 任选一幅图，结合下面的句子，同桌进行对话练习。

Doctor: What's wrong with you? Sick people: I have a ... What should I do, Doctor? Doctor: You should... You shouldn't... Sick people: Thank you, Doctor. Step6 启示：Good health is over wealth. 健康是最大的财富。
