Language goal: Be able to use the interrogative sentence(How many____are there?) to ask and know how to give an answer by using the numbers.

Greeting: Hello,everyone.

Nice to meet you.

How are you today?

Pre-task: Sing a song Let’s sing!

Warming-up: Review the numbers they have learnt last lesson.

Do a game: ask some students come to the front to do actions:

A student plays a number;

The other students guess what number it is.

Step 1: Presentation

Show them the photoes of the vegetables(onoins,potatoes,cucumbers,tomatoes) and ask:

T : What are these?

Student: They are onions.

T: How many onions are there?

Students: Six

T: There are six.

T: Are these potatoes?

S: Yes, they are.

T: How many potatoes are there?

S: There are seven.

T: Are these tomatoes?

S: No, they aren’t. They are cucumbers.

T How many cucumbers are there?

S: There are three.

T: Show the students the photo of tomatoes,and let the students ask:

S: How many tomatoes are there?

S:There are five.

Step 2: Pair work:

Talk with their partners the topic: How many______are there?

There are_______.

Step 3: Act it out

Let some students act the dialog out.

Step 4: Presentation:

T: Ask several students to come to the front.

T: How many boys are there?

S: There are______.

Teacher asks one student to come to the front and ask how many students are there?

Display the sentence: There is one.
