教学目标：

知识目标：

1.进一步学习和掌握序数词，强化听说读写的综合技能:twelfth,twentieth,twenty-first,twenty-third,thirtieth掌握这些词缩写。

2.学习掌握新的交际用语: When is grandpa’s birthday? It is on October 12th. 等等，并能够就生日的话题开展简单的讨论。

能力目标：

能够使用句型When is your birthday?进行生日情况的调查并填写调查表。帮助学生在体验中认识和运用语言，增强学生的英语语感；并通过调查活动、信息收集整理等活动提高培养学生的交际能力、语言能力和信息归纳总结的能力。

情感、策略：

教育学生在活动中体验关心他人，关心长辈。

教学重点: 1、

序数词

twelfth,twentieth,twenty-first,twenty-third,thirtieth和在相应情景中的正确运用。

2 、就生日的话题运用句型：When is your birthday? 和When is grandpa’s birthday? It is on October 12th.进行简单的语言交流和描述。

教学难点：用本节课所学的交际用语When is grandpa’s birthday? It is on….在恰当的情景中结合自己和父母的实际情况进行表达和交流。

教具准备：多媒体课件、点读机、单词卡片、图片。

教学过程：

一、 Warm up and preview 1、The months. (1) look at the pictures and say the months. (2) say the months before and after it. (3) read together. 2、The words :first to fifth.Read and spell. 二、Presentation 1、 New words. Play a game :“Who is the first?”Give some students the word cards,and let them stand in front of the class. Then I say :Who is the first?Help them to answer:First,first,I am the first.Then study the new words:twelfth,twentieth----.And write them on the blackboard. Then read and spell them.

2、 Let’s learn.Ask:When is grandpa’s birthday?Let one of them answer.Then ask and answer like this. 3、 Read after the tape. 4、 Pair work. Let the students ask and answer in pairs. 三、Practice 1、Write words according to the letters. 2、Ask and answer one by one.“When is your birthday? ”

3、Group work.Ask and answer about the birthdays of their family in a group.Then ask some groups to show their conversations. 4、Do a survey. Ask anyone in the classroom about his or her birthday,then make a list. Ask some of them to tell the results. 四、Summary. What have you learnt? 五、Homework.
