四年级学生已经适应了小学的英语学习生活，大多数学生学习兴趣浓厚，学习习惯较好。他们求知欲强，善于模仿，喜欢听故事、唱儿歌、做游戏、肢体表演等活动形式。通过三年多的英语学习，已经具备了基本的听说能力，能进行材料的朗读与简短的对话与交流，也能进行简单的书面训练。在学习本单元内容之前，学生在数词、食品类单词、水果类单词、学习用品类单词、玩具类单词、学校场所类单词等方面初有积累；同时，也能较为熟练地运用to be句型、to have句型和can句型来描述、介绍或问答相关事物。

【单元教学目标】

知识与技能：

能初步感知、理解和运用地点类词汇，如：aviary, fountain, pond等，理解其音、形、义。

2.

初步学习字母组合-th在单词中的发音，能举一反三。

3.

在语境中运用Where is/are …?来问答各个场所的位置，了解场所方位，形成空间概念。

4.

在语境中进一步了解游园活动、了解游园规则的同时，合理描述公园里的所见、所闻与所感。

过程与方法：

通过情境的设置学习新授单词和句型，了解公园游玩时的相关物品以及世纪公园里的不同场所。

情感、态度与价值观：

通过对世纪公园的参观，了解游园活动、了解游园规则的同时，合理描述公园里的所见、所闻与所感。让学生注意游园准备、注意游园顺序，学做文明小游客。

Miss Fang and her students want to go to the Century Park. The park is far away from the school. It’s on Fangdian Road.

They can take the school bus there. Kitty: I want to go to the greenhouse. It’s big and beautiful. I have a camera. I can take some photos.

Peter wants to go to the aviary. It’s nice. Peter has a sketchbook. He can draw birds.
