一、教学内容分析
本模块是有关名人的故事教育课。在第五单元里,Xiaoling读了一本关于孙中山生平介绍的书,Jiamin和Xiaoling告诉Ben关于孙中山的事迹。这一单元以情景对话展开话题,情景性强,单词主要以动词和名词为主,语法以一般过去时为主,要应用形容词于实际中。第二单元里是介绍外国名人乔布斯的生平事迹。课文也以过去时为主,对学生而言复述课文有一定的挑战性,老师应创设情境帮助学生理解课文重点句型,用图片、形象的动画与肢体语言帮助学生理解和上口,培养学生乐于开口、积极交流的好习惯。而且在上学期学生已经学习了一般过去时及大量动词的过去式的表达,因此降低了在学习本模块句子表达中的难度。在教学中教师要尽可能通过多种活动鼓励学生多听、多说,让学生养成多读、多写的良好学习习惯,进一步培养学生学习英语的兴趣。
二、教学对象分析
六年级的学生相对小学其他阶段的孩子,会比较有自己的思想,而且六年级的学生已经有三年英语学习经验,大部分学生学习兴趣浓厚,能按照老师要求完成各项学习任务,形成了较好的学习习惯。同时孩子总是对故事感兴趣的,本节课从他们熟悉的寓言故事着手,创设情景让他们也尝试用英语讲故事的乐趣。
三、单元目标
(一)知识目标
1. “四会”掌握词汇:
famous, person, history, free, make, leader, Dr=doctor, writer, invent, inventor, actor, musician, paint, painter, bulb, light bulb, movie, funny. ipad, probably, true, come true, compapy, game-maker, once, once again, successful, return, ipod, iphone, lose, lost, finish, sell, turn…into.
2. “四会”掌握词组:
free people 给人们自由make one’s life better 改善某人的生活
play with … 玩某样东西make movies 制作电影
cartoon movies 卡通电影make... come true 使...成为现实
finish school 完成学业work as... 从事...的工作
get bored 变得厌烦make money 赚钱
once again 再次turn ... into.. 把......变成......
3.“四会”掌握句型:

(二) 语言技能目标
1. 能在听说读写的语言活动中理解和运用本模块单词和词组:

4. 能简明简述人物生平和评论人物。能谈论名人,知道孙中山、乔布斯等名人的生平和实际。对J.K. Lowing 络玲,Thomas Edison 托玛斯爱迪生,Carlie Chaplin 查理卓别林,Mozart 莫扎特, 冼星海,齐白石等名人的生平和事迹有所了解。
5. 能在听说读写的语言活动中理解和运用一般现在时、现在进行时、一般将来时和一般过去时态(一般疑问句句)。
(三)学习策略目标
1、能在情景中积极运用所学英语进行表达与交流。
2、积极参与小组合作学习,进行语言交际,培养合作意识。
3. 学生能简明简述人物生平和评论人物。
(四)情感态度目标
1.通过课文内容的学习,养成爱学习、不怕困难的良好品质。
2.让学生在小组合作学习的过程中,培养互帮互助、互相学习的团队精神,激发学生学习热情,渗透珍惜时间、努力进取的德育教育。
(五)文化意识目标
加深对中外名人的认识,拓展视野。

(二)情感态度目标
1. 不给失败找借口,只为成功找机会,Steve Jobs就是非常好的例子。鼓励我们在困境中树立信心,并提醒我们,躺在成功上和离开成功创造另外的成功是两种完全不同的处事态度。
2. 通过课文的学习和复述,促进学生学习的积极性,使学生体验到用英语表达情感的乐趣,增强学习自信心。
(三)学习策略目标
1. 能通过多种形式,主动获取与课文相关的信息。
2. 能积极参与小组合作,共同完成学习任务,发展语言的听说能力和阅读能力。
3. 通过合作活动,培养合作精神。
(四)文化意识目标
加深对Steve Jobs的认识,拓展视野。

2、教师由上引出:Do you like Steve Jobs ? There are many famous people in the world . Do you want to know them ?
Game: 快速闪动名人名字,学生以最快的速度读出来,学习名人名字
3、挑战一:我能听(Listen and write,完成Fun with language 1)
听名人简介,完成表格:
1). Isaac Newton was a great English scientist. He was born in 1642 and died in 1727.
2). Qian Xuesen was a great Chinese scientist. He was born in 1911 and died in 2009.
3). William Shakespeare, a famous English writer was born in 1564 and died in 1616.
4). Leonardo Da Vinci , a great painter was born in 1452 and died in 1519.
5). Songqingling , one of the leaders of New China. She did a lot to help women and children. She was born in 1892 and died in 1981.
6). Beethoven was a great German musician. He wrote a lot of world famous music. He was born in 1770 and died in 1827.

Joanne Kathleen Rowling was born in Bristol, England, in 1965. She dreamed of being a famous writer when she was a little girl.
