1、知识目标：

Vocabulary: strong, cute, bear, horse, lion; Sentence patterns: The monkey isn’t strong. Are they big? Yes, they are. / No, they aren’t.

a）可以使用所学形容词描述动物特征，在第一单元的基础上，开始用两个词描述同一个动物；They are little and cute. b) 可以使用问句询问某种动物是否具有某种特征：Are they big? c) 可以对Are they 开头的一般疑问句进行肯定和否定回答：Yes, they are. / No, they aren’t. 三、教学重点与难点：

重点: a)句型

Are they big? Yes, they are. / No, they aren’t.及其拓展运用；

b)句型They’re little and cute.

难点: P36 chant “Zoo”

难点处理方式：用图片和动作的方式让学生理解和熟练朗读该韵律诗。

四、教学过程：

Game. Guess the animals. Teacher choose an animal, students guess what it is by asking questions like “Are they big/tall?”

“Are they pigs?”. If the teacher answer “No, they aren’t.”
