教材分析:

PEP小学英语教材以话题为纲,交际功能为线,兼顾结构,运用英语去完成任务为目标,即话题--功能--结构--任务。本单元的话题是When is Easter ? 功能是运用句型询问他人的生日及节日,涉及到生日、节日的月份、日期。本课是本单元的C部分Story time ,是一节绘本故事课。本部分呈现的是Zoom如何通过练习锻炼自己的歌唱能力,从而在音乐考试中取得好的成绩。在学生已学习了有关活动的词汇和短语的基础上,激活原有思维,在故事中进一步学习和巩固本单元核心词汇与句型进行会话交流,拓展运用,为后面的知识和学习做铺垫。

教学目标:

1、学生能够听、说、认读单词,如:practice, practise, perfect 等。进一步巩固序数词的用法。

2、学生能够听懂、读懂并表演Part C部分Story time的内容。

3、学生能够掌握良好的阅读策略,并提高自主学习能力。

教学重点:

1、学生能够听懂、读懂并内化Part C部分Story time的内容。

2、学生能够表演Part C部分Story time的故事。

教学难点:

1、学生在图片提示下能够复述故事的主要情节。

2、学生能够根据学案进行新故事的创编。

教学准备:

教学步骤:

Step 1 Free talk & warm-up

1.Greeting.

2.Free talk:

(1)Which season do you like best ?

(2)What can you do in…?

(3)Can you …?

Can you chant ? OK, let’s chant together.

3.Let’s chant:

Run, run, I can run.

Jump, jump, I can jump.

Swim, swim, I can swim.

Dance, dance, I can dance.

Sing, sing, I can sing.

(设计意图:利用谈话轻松导入,复习旧知,激活原有思维,为学生营造轻松快乐的学习氛围,也为下面的学习做了一定的铺垫。)

Step2 Pre - reading

1.T: You can chant well. And you can sing well. How about our old

friend “Zoom” ? Can Zoom sing well? Today we will learn a story of Unit 4 Part C Story time.

Step3 While - reading

1.Watch the whole story.

Now please watch the video and choose the answers.

(1)When is the singing test? On April 30th or May 4th?

Zoom only have three days to practise. They are …. (Show the letter card of May 4th、April 30th、May 1st、May 2nd、May 3rd )

(2)What’s Zoom’s feeling about his singing test on April 30th? Happy or worried?

(设计意图:由坡度性问题导入课文,让孩子们整体感知故事,打开思路,有利于学生理解故事内容。)

2.Deal with the story step by step.

(1) Learn picture 1.

a. T: Zoom is worried about t he singing test. Because he can’t sing well. Now please look at picture one. Miss bird is the music teacher. She says : The singing test will be on May 4th. Zoom is one of her students, and he is worried: “I can’t sing well”. Zip is Zoom’s good friend. He comforts Zoom : “ Don’t worry. Practice makes perfect.” (deal with “practice” “perfect”)

b. T: Listen to the tape and imitate the sounds.

T: Who can be Miss bird? Who can be Zoom? Who can be Zip?

(2)Learn picture 2.

a. Zoom can’t sing well. What will he do on May 1st? Let’s look at picture 2. Zip asks Zoom to come to Rabbit’s birthday party. Zip says : “Will you come to the party? Today is Rabbit’s birthday.” Zoom

answers : “ Sorry, I can’t. I want to practise my song.”

b. Look at this word. It’s different from “practice”. This word is a verb. And this one is a noun.

c. Listen to the tape and imitate the sounds.

(3)Learn picture 3.

a. Zoom won’t come to the party on May 1st. How about May 2nd? Will he play football with Rabbit? Look at picture 3.

b. Let’s imitate and act . Girls, you act Rabbit. Boys, you act Zoom. (4)Learn picture 4.

a. Zoom keeps practice on May 2nd. How about May 3rd? Will Zoom watch TV with Cat? Look at picture 4.

b. Let’s imitate and act . Girls, you act Cat. Boys, yo u act Zoom. (5)Learn picture 5.

a. Zoom practise, practise and practice during May 1st to May 3rd. Will he do a good job on the singing test? Look at picture 5.

b. Who can act Miss Bird ? Who can act Zoom? Listen and imitate. (6)Learn picture 6.

a. Zoom does a good job in the singing test. Maybe he needs to rest.

What will he do after the singing test? Look at picture 6.

b. Who can act Cat ? Who can act Zoom? Listen and imitate.

(设计意图:分步讲解并表演故事,降低了整篇故事表演的难度,呈现由易到难逐层递进。让学生集体模仿,小组模仿,生生模仿表演课文有利于锻炼学生的听力和口语,并且增加阅读操练的趣味性,学生学习的热情高涨,乐于参与到这种多变的学习模式中。)

6.Make a new story.

(设计意图,检测对故事的的理解,巩固今天所学故事,通过角色表演提高学生英语学习兴趣,通过编故事使学生升华所学知识。)

Step 5 Summary and homework

1.Sum up:

(1)Look at the blackboard. Today we learned the story about Zoom’s singing test. At the beginning, Zoom can’t sing well. But after lots of practice, he can do a good job in the test. How about this blind girl ? Let’s watch a film.

(2)This blind also can do a good job, too. Boys and girls, there are different kinds of tests in our life. But please remember: Practice makes

perfect.

(2)Try to retell the story .

(3)Make another story with your partners.
