《Mother’s Day》教学设计
教学目标
1、知识目标: (1)学习、理解、掌握,并能在语境中运用一下词汇: Give Mum a carnation, make a card, a hug and a kiss等。
(2)在语境中学习、理解并运用下列句型结构: Mother’s Day is coming! I can …. It’s my love for Mum. Happy Mother’s Day! I love you, Mum. Here is a carnation for you. 2、能力目标: 借母亲节的契机,通过能为妈妈做的一些事,表达对妈妈的爱。 Mother’s Day is coming. I can ____________. I can _____________. … It’s my love for Mum. 3、情感目标: 通过对文本内容的学习和理解,在语境中说说自己眼中妈妈是怎样的;在日常生活中妈妈为我做的事有哪些;体会母爱的伟大。妈妈对我的爱体现在每天的日常生活中,同时妈妈
也需要我的爱。在任务的推进过程中,让学生懂得感恩。
教学重难点
感受平凡母爱蕴含的巨大力量,体会母爱的伟大、无私,启发学生感恩母爱之情,以及运用所学语言来表达自己感受的意识。

卡片、多媒体、爱心粘贴
教学过程
Step1:warm-up 1、Greeting.师生用英语互相问候。
2、Sing a song.跟着音乐学习歌曲,为接下来的学习做铺垫。
设计意图:以上活动既可以营造英语学习的气氛,调动学生学习英语的积极性,拉近师生的距离,又可以为新课的学习打好基础。
3、学生拼读字母m、o、t、h、e、r。组成mother这个单词。
T:Do you love your mother? S:Yes,I love my mother. 4、教师问问题

Is your mother tall or short?

Is your mother beautiful or kind? 学生介绍自己的妈妈
S:Look,this is my mother. She is_________(tall\short) She is _________(fat\thin) She can__________for me. I love my mother. 设计意图:以上这些环节通过师生间的谈话交流自然地呈现新知,并通过听说读多种方式操练单词句子,为下面的学习做好铺垫。
5、教师问母亲节是什么时候
T: Do you know? When is Mother’s Day? S: No. T: I’ll tell you now. 看日历 T: It’s May. Mother’s Day is on the second Sunday in May. T: Don’t forget Mother’s Day. Today we are going to have a new lesson “Mother’s Day”. 设计意图:通过提问的方式呈现母亲节的日期,并且出示课题“Mother’s Day”
Step2:Present new knowledge
1、母亲节来临之际,欣赏一些图片。
T:Just in time for Mother’s Day. Let’s enjoy many beautiful pictures.观看完图片之后,让学生谈谈母亲节我们能为妈妈做什么?自由讨论
2、展示一些母亲节我们可以为妈妈做的事情的图片,操练句型S1:What can you do for Mum? S2:I can _______________. 3、Make a dialogue. A: Hello. B: Hello. A: Mother’s Day is coming. What can you do for Mum? B: I can ____________.What about you? A: I can ____________. 4、Poetry Reading Dear Mum: How are you? It’s Mother’s Day today. Hope you have a great day! Oh, Mum. I miss you! I can buy a carnation for you . I love you Mum. Happy Mother’s Day! Love. __________ 5、Make and Say
T:Look at the blackboard! Let’s make a card! And then say it. Next stick it on the blackboard. 设计意图:学生的学习过程就是在教师的引导下学生用所学的语言交流的过程,教学活动以学生为主体,以活动为中心,通过思考,观察,模仿,体验学习的快乐。
6、Enjoy the video. T: Mother is our first teacher. She teaches us talking. She teaches us walking. She cooks delicious food for us. She makes us growing happily day by day. Just in time for Mother’s Day. Let’s say loudly“Mum,I love you. Happy Mother’s Day!”
7、Extension T: Finally,I’ll going to tell you about another festival.“ Father’s Day” Father’s Day is on the third Sunday in June. On Mother’s Day and Father’s Day,We’re going to give mum and dad a word or a gift. 设计意图:通过观看视频进一步感受母爱的伟大。从母亲节到父亲节,使学生的感情得到了升华。

Write a composition about Mother’s Day. 设计意图:布置作业能够巩固所学的知识,培养学生的能力,把课内知识引申到课外。
