Detective Stories ---the adverbial clauses 一．内容分析：

本课是一堂语法课,学习对象为高三年级学生。根据《课程标准》学生能够掌握状语从句的基本结构；并能在教师的指导下总结规律，在不断练习的情况下灵活运用。由于是语法课，对教材进行重新整合，以使教学内容更加符合学生的需要和贴近学生的实际生活。课堂教学是一个动态过程，根据学生知识的实际需要，随时做出富有创意的调整，将学生的体验有机地融入课堂中，并不断生成创造和加以运用，让学生在互动交流中获得独特的体验，在亲身体验中感悟语言。因此在本节课中我们对教材内容做了相应的整合和补充。

二．学情分析：

高三是学习英语的关键时期，这个阶段的学生他们有一定的知识储备，但普遍存在一定的问题，知识比较零散不成体系，因此这节语法课是在学生原有的知识基础之上重新组合再加上侦探题材是他们比较感兴趣的，因此，他们渴望用英语来表达。在教学过程中，利用图片和视频，给予学生直观的感受，除此之外，教师要给学生适时而恰当的鼓励。使学生产生“跃跃欲试”的冲动,享受成功的喜悦。

三．教学目标设计：

用具体、明确、可操作的行为语言，描述本课的知识、技能、能力、方法、情感、态度、价值观等方面的教学目标。

Objectives: By the end of the session, most students will be better able to acquire the required information. This will be achieved by: 1. Knowledge Objectives: 1) Be able to master the basic rules of the adverbial clauses 2) Be able to learn to use the adverbial clauses to describe things ; 3) Be able to talk about detective stories

2. Ability Objectives: 1) Be able to share their favourite detective stories; 2) Be able to summarize some grammar rules; 3. Moral Objectives: 1) Improve the cooperative spirit through pair work and role playing 2) Care more about the real world around them.

四．重点难点设计：

由于本节课的话题是侦探故事，根据教学大纲的要求，学生需掌握有关该话题的相关单词，并能结合该单元的语法：状语从句进行描述事件。因此本节课教学重点设置如下: The teaching Focus 1. Master the adverbial clauses; 2. Describe things using the adverbial clauses ; 3.Talk about their favourite detective stories 大部分的学生只是储存比较零散不成体系因此本节课的教学难点设置如下：

The Teaching Difficulties 1. Students may find it difficult to remember all the conjunctions in the class; 2. Students may find it difficult to describe things in clauses.

五．教学策略与手段：

《英语课程标准》明确指出：英语教学提倡体验、实践、参与、交流与合作的学习方式,要关注学生的体验，创设和优化英语教学环境，因此本课遵循体验式英语教学模式，使得教师输入和学生输出科学地结合起来，从而实现以学生为中心、培养学生自主学习能力的教学理念和提高学生跨文化交际能力的最终教学目标。

六．教学过程：

这是教学设计的主体部分。分几个环节具体说明教学活动的安排，包括学生学习活动、教师指导活动、师生交互活动。

Step1 Warming up Ask Ss two questions: Do you like reading detective stories? Can you list some famous detectives? Then show a short video about detective Di Renjie to draw Ss’ attention.

Step2: Present a text about this story 1.Ask Ss to read through the story quickly. 2.Ask Ss to find out the following questions 3.Ask Ss to circle all the clauses. Step3: Grammar learning and using

1、时间状语从句

常用引导词: when, as, while, as soon as, while, before, after, since , till, until 特殊引导词: the minute, the moment, the second, every time, the

day,the instant, immediately , directly, no sooner … than, hardly …when, scarcely … when

3、原因状语从句

常用引导词:because, since, as, for 特殊引导词:seeing that, now that, in that, considering that, given that, considering that, as much as, so much as 例句

: Now that everybody has come, let's begin our conference.

remarkable. 改错: Because many people were involved in this case, so they had to take this accident seriously. 4、地点状语从句

常用引导词:where 特殊引导词:wherever, anywhere, everywhere

例句：Generally, air will be heavily polluted where there are factories.

5、比较状语从句

常用引导词:as(同级比较), than(不同程度的比较) 特殊引导词:the more … the more … ; just as …, so…; A is to B what /as X is to Y; no … more than; not A so much as B

例句：The house is three times as big as ours. The more you exercise, the healthier you will be. Food is to men what oil is to machine. 食物之于人,犹如油之于机器。

填空：

6、让步状语从句

常用引导词:though, although, even if, even though 特殊引导词: as(用在让步状语从句中必须要倒装),while ( 一般用在句首

),no matter …, in spite of the fact that, while, whatever, whoever, wherever, whenever, however, whichever 例句: The old man always enjoys swimming even though the weather is rough.

He won't listen whatever you may say. 把下面的两句话改成一句话：
