Unit3 Food Lesson1 Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. It’s my great honor and pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you.The content of my lesson today is Unit3 Food Lesson1 of PEP Starting Line Primary English,Book3A.I have been ready to begin this presentation with three parts.Teaching material,analysis and procedure. Ⅰ. Teaching Material Analysis This lesson is the first period of this unit. The topic is about food. Ss have known some words and sentences about food in Grade one and two. Based on this, this lesson will learn some more words about food. According to the reading of main scene, the learning of chant in the scene and the conversation in daily life, Ss can perceive, understand, learn and consolidate the new knowledge. What’s more, they can also use it in proper situation. This lesson is mainly about vocabulary learning.

Ⅱ. Student Analysis 1、Ss have a certain language foundation to understand and express some words and easy sentences about food. 2、Ss have known and can read some words about food. 3、Ss in Grade3 have a great interest in learning.

4、They like singing, imitating and performing, too. Ⅲ. Teaching Aims of the Unit Knowledge and skill aims: First level：

1、Ss can understand, speak the seven words: bread, cake, ice-cream, meat, potatoes,

tomatoes, fruit. They can write these words in four lines and three spaces normatively. They can remember these words by using spelling rules. 2、Ss can understand and speak the sentences which are as follows: —What do you want for...?—I want some.... Learn how to use the sentences in proper situation. Feel the good writing by imitating. Be prepared for writing sentences independently. 3、Ss can understand the passage: The Shopping List of Bill’s Family . According to the passage, Ss can fill in the blanks and write their own shopping list.

4、Ss can perceive the pronunciation of “i” by the words and pictures. Based on the rules, They can pronounce some more words and remember them.

Second level：

1、Ss can understand the process of making a sandwich with the help of the pictures. 2、Ss can sing the new chant. 3、Ss can understand the story of this unit and can do role-play with teacher’s help. Process and method aims 1、Ss can take an active part in the activities in class and they can communicate actively in English.

2、Ss can listen to their partners carefully and make conversations with them. Affect and values aims According to the story, Ss should know that sharing is based on someone’s consent.

If not, that behavior will be very rude.

Ⅳ. Teaching Aims of the lesson 1、Ss can understand, speak the seven words: bread, cake, ice-cream, meat, potatoes, tomatoes, fruit. They can write these words in four lines and three spaces normatively.。

2、Ss can use the sentences that they’ve learned to ask and answer: —Do you like...? .—Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.

3、Ss can sing the new chant following the recording. Ⅴ. Important Point Perceive and learn the seven new words: bread, cake, ice-cream, meat, potatoes, tomatoes, fruit. Ⅵ. Difficult Point Reading, understanding and usage of some new words: potatoes, tomatoes, meat... Ⅶ. Learning Strategy Association : Estabilish associations between words and the corresponding things;

Situational teaching: Create settings close to real life ; Task-based teaching: Adopt practical activities Ⅸ. Procedure Step1 Warm-up & Revision(2 minutes)

1. Greeting. 2. Review the words of food Bomb Game: apple, pear, banana, orange, rice, noodles, vegetables, fish, chicken, eggs . 3. Review the dialogue about food

Chant Together：Do you like noodles? Step2 Lead-in & Presentation（8 minutes）

Let’s put the food into our supermarket.

Read all the food in the supermarket 2.

The Rabbit Clap Game Repeat words, pay attention to pronunciation of these words: potatoes, tomatoes, bread 3.

Rats Step on a Balloon Use the new words, establish a relationship among pronunciation, spelling and meaning . 4.

Click number cards, find out food, then read together 5.

Chant Q: What food does Lily like? Listen to the chant. Listen and chant together. Girls VS Boys Chant together one more time. 6.

Let’s do a survey. Q: What do the consumers like buying in the supermarket? Do you like...? Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.

Step4 Let’s write(10 minutes) Read, observe the teacher’s writing, imitate and write down the shopping list.

Step5 Remark & Consolidation(5 minutes) 1.

Make a new chant with the food they got, then chant group by group. 2.

Task: copy the shopping list on your exercises book 3.
