by, 在这里表示“由…(创作)，出自”。

如：

twelve”意为：在12岁的时候

=“when he was twelve ”

表达在12岁的时候我们还可以用: at 12/at age 12. 3. But he took the name Mark Twain and became very famous in the 1860s.

take a name”相当于“choose to have a new name” 开始使用新名字。

不是具体时间，而是指“19世纪60年代” “in + the +整数年

1. He married in 1582 and had three children.他于1582年结婚，有了三个孩子。

marry即可作及物动词，也可作不及物动词，意为“结婚；嫁，娶”。

1) marry sb 意为嫁给某人，与…… 结婚John married Mary last week. 2) be/get married to sb 表示与某人

结婚。

Rose was married to a teacher.

2. Shakespeare went to London and joined a theatre company in about 1592. 1）join意思是“加入，参加”，如：

My brother joined the army in 1995 and joined the Party three years later. 我哥哥1995年参军，三年后入了党。

2）join指加入某个团体或组织，而take part in 指参加某种活动。

3. He was rich and successful.他富有并且成功。

successful 成功的，形容词；

successfully 成功地，副词；

4.die动词“死”、dead形容词“死了的”、death名词“死”。

5. still，副词，仍然。位置：肯定句中，be/助动/情态动词之后，实义动词之前；否定句中，否定词之前。
