本课内容是Sarah的日记，主要记录小猫的成长过程。学生经过月份学习和日期的表达后，通过日记的形式来记录生活中有趣的事情。本课以小猫咪为例，为小朋友展示了小动物从出生到长大的整个生命历程，渗透生命意识和亲情教育。本节课教学重点在于阅读方法的指导、表达的训练，如何从文中获取有效信息。通过学习，能了解日记的格式，并模仿着写，尝试记录有意义的事情。

baby. Kittens grow up into cats. Our topic is about growing up.

教学反思：

整篇文章从外貌和行为能力两条线索入手，来分析小猫的成长过程。先从Sarah的生日派对收到礼物开始，引出kitten, 然后引出新词，先把生词解决掉。再从文章的两条线索：外貌和行为能力分析下来。总体来说师生互动良好，在最后学生能够做到很好的输出。让学生分层输出，可以让学生根据自己的能力，选择合适的日记书写。但是在教学过程中，教师可以有更多的肢体语言来帮助学生能够更好地理解本文，学生互动环节可以适当增加。
