A Let’s talk

本单元主要围绕“日期”这个核心话题来开展教学活动。这个话题是学生日常生活的重要组成部分。在第三单元学生已学习了一些中西方节日及12个月份的英语表达方式，在四年级下册学生已学习过It’s on the first/second floor的表述，为本节课的教学奠定了良好的基础。本课通过Mr Jones和Zhang Peng 就四月份两个特殊的日子(special days)----愚人节和复活节日期进行对话的情景，让学生感知When is April Fool’s Day? It’s on April 1st. And Easter? It’s on April 5th this year.的语义及语用情景。

知识/能力目标

学生能够在图片和教师的帮助下理解对话大意。

渗透special days,明确本节课话题

由老师跟学生谈special days过度到书本，其实Mr Jones 和

Zhang Peng 也在讨论special days(从talk 部分可以看出)，但是首先我们来猜猜他们到底在谈论哪个月份的special days呢？(let’s try)

学生在try 部分只能得到他们在讨论4月份并不能得出在讨论什么special days, 由这个信息差让学生听前半段的talk录音来得出4月份的special days.

感知special days的意思

T: Great! So we know many holidays. Look ! They

are holidays. And they are special days, too.

T: For an example, Tree Planting Day is a special day for planting trees. (拆音教读special)

Let’s try T: Now, we are talking about some special days. Look at Mr Jones and Zhang Peng. Where are they? Ss: They are on the playground. T: Are they talking about any special days, too, on the playground? Ss: Yes or No. T: But I can tell you “Yes”. They are talking about some special days, too. And we know different special days are in different month. T: So, first let’s guess which month are they talking about? S: Maybe they are talking about ______ (1)

通过插图明白愚人节，比较直观

通过读talk的插图培养学生的读图能力来得到什么时候是愚人节与复活节

通过看视频来验证读图得到的信息是否与文本一致

通过近4年的万年历让学生明白Easter在每年的日期是不同的并且这里的this year指的是2015年

模仿语音，解决长句及难点句子的读音

(借助万年历) 说明this year 指的是2015 并让学生明白Easter的日期是怎么算的

In 2018, Easter is on April 1st. It is amazing. April Fool’s Day and Easter are on the same day. In 2017, Easter is on April 16th. In 2016, Easter is on March 27th. In 2015, Easter is on April 5th. (T: So this year is 2015) T: Easter is on different days every year.Here I will tell you when is Easter. Easter is on the first Sunday after the first full moon of the vernal equinox. (复活节是春分之后第一次满月之后的第一个星期日)

T:Because of these special days, our life becomes more beautiful and meaningful. So we must know these special days, remember them, and celebrate them.
