知识目标:1:掌握有关味觉和水果类的单词:lemon,
sour, sweet, salt, salty, coffee, bitter, spicy, smelly 等酸,甜,苦,辣,咸五种味道。
2:掌握有关句型How does it smell/ taste? It’s…. 技能目标:能够用上述句型描述食物的味道。
情感目标:1.各种食物都有其特有的味道,不要吃太多甜的食物,要学会健康的饮食。
课时安排:本单元分为二个课时,题目为tasting and smelling
Period 1 tasting and smelling
知识目标:1:掌握有关味觉和水果类的单词:lemon,
sour, sweet, salt, salty, coffee, bitter等。
2:掌握有关句型How does it smell/ taste? It’s…. 技能目标:能够用上述句型描述食物的味道。
情感目标:1.各种食物都有其特有的味道,不要吃太多甜的食物,要学会健康的饮食。
课时设计:Step1:greeting and free talk(I hear raindrops and I have two hands) Step2: T: (Show the lemon and ask the students to close their eyes)
T: Touch it. How does it feel? Ss: It feels rough and hard. T:Smell it. How does it smell?
Ss: It is nice. T: What is it? Ss: Is it a lemon? T: Yes, it is. Now open your eyes. Taste it. How does it taste? Ss: It tastes sour.(Teach the word “sour”.) T:
What is sour? Ss: The pineapple is sour. The grapes are sour. The green apples are sour. (show the word: pomelo,
grapes, the green apples, the lime, the lemon, etc. and learn the chant:
Sour, sour. What is sour? _________ is sour. Sour, sour. What is sour? ________ is sour.) Step3:T: What’s this?
Ss: It is an apple?
T: What color is it?
Ss: It is red.
T: Touch it. How does it feel?
Ss: It’s smooth and hard.
T: Smell it. How does it smell?
Ss: It smells good.
T: Taste it. How does it taste?
Ss: It’s sweet.
T: Sweet, sweet. What is sweet?
Ss: The cookie is sweet. The donut is sweet. The watermelon is sweet. (teach the words: cookie, donut, sweet,etc. ) And then give a riddle: It can be big. It can be small. Sometimes it’s sweet.
Sometimes it’s sour.
Have one a day, keep the doctor away. What is it? Ss: It is an apple. (Practice the riddle in the group and make their own riddle)
Step4: T: Do you like sweet food or sweet fruit?
Ss: Yes, I do.
T: Some people like sweet food too much. Is that good for their health?
Ss: No. It makes them very fat.
T: So we should eat food healthily. Don’t eat too much sweet food.
作业设计:1. Copy the new words and new sentences.
2. Make their own rhyme according to the chant they learned.

Step2: (show a cup of coffee to the students.) Smell it. How does it smell?
Ss: It is very nice.
T:Taste it. How does it taste?
Ss: It is bitter.(teach the word bitter)
Teach the chant:
It can be bitter. It can be sweet. Sometimes it’s black. Sometimes it’s white.
Don’t drink it at night.
Or you can’t sleep right.
Step3: T: What’s this?
Ss: This is the hotpot.
T: How does it taste?
Ss: It is spicy.
T: What is spicy?
Ss: The hot pepper is spicy.
Learn the rhyme:
Put it into the noodles. The noodles are spicy.
Put it into the chicken. The chicken is spicy.
Put it into the egg soup. The egg soup is spicy.
Put it into the pizza.
The pizza is spicy.
Put it into your mouth. The mouth is spicy. Step4 : T: What’s this?
Ss: This is fish.
T: How does it smell?
Ss: It is smelly.(teach the word”smelly”) Step5:T: We use our hands to touch. The______is______and_____.
We taste with our mouth. I taste the lemon. The lemon is sour.
Sour, sour. What is sour?_______ is sour.
I taste the candy.
The candy is sweet. Sweet, sweet. What is sweet? ____is sweet. ___ is sweet.
作业设计:
1. 默写本单元的单词
2. 把酸,甜,苦,辣,咸五种味觉的食物进行归类
3. 背诵本单元所学的韵文和小chant.
