Teaching Aims: 1. Can listen, say and write the new words and phrases. 2. Can talk what you did last weekend with the past tense. 3.Educate them to cultivate more hobbies and communicate each other.

Learning Situation Forecast: The teacher sets up a real circumstance and stimulate pupils’ interests. The pupils will find out the rules of a verb form in the past tense. Then, they have a talk and practice with the new phrases and sentences.

Key Points: The students can master the new words and sentence patterns. The students can master the uses of the past tense. Teaching Methods: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Teaching Tools: cards, pictures, recorder, CAI.

Teaching Procedure: I. Warm-up.

II. New Lesson Teaching A. Listen and tick. 1. T: Look at the photos. What did they do last weekend? (1) Let the students try to read out the phrases. 2. T: Did they really do these things? Let’s listen to the tape and find the answer. (1) Play the cassette and finish the exercise. (3) Play the cassette the second time. Let the pupils check the answer. 2. Show the word cards and read them after the teacher.(pay attention to the pronunciation of “ed”. “jumped, watched, visited”

3. Ask the students to choose one card, then ask and answer.
