Unit4 In the community Lesson 1 I. Teaching aims 1、To learn new words of familiar buildings in their daily life. Add some other words they could use: streets van taxi bicycle subway subway station traffic light . 2、Sentence patterns: Where are you going? I’m going to the …. 3、学生们学会谈论自己周围环境和各种建筑物，能够明确表达想去的地方。

4、引入现在进行时表将来的语法应用。

II. Teaching points 1. New words: community/zoo/park/school/hospital/supermarket/bookshop. 2. Sentence patterns: Where are you going? I’m going to the …./ Where is Bill? He is at/in the …. III. Teaching materials The computer course ware, word cards, paintings and book. IV.Period I. warm-up 1.Daily oral practice T: Good morning, boys and girls! Nice to meet you. Ss: Good morning, Miss Liu! Nice to meet you,too. 2.Review Play the sings in Unit 3 they’ve learned to make a short review. II.Presentation Step1.Leading in 1. Let Ss look at a map of a community with kinds of buildings. 2. Teahcer asks students: “what can you see in the picture？” Then teacher points to the new words of buildings and teach students to read.

3. T: Show word cards in class and ask questions.

“Do you like …..? Do you go there? ”

“Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.”

Step2: Words and expressions 1. T: Show the chant on the blackboard, teach then to read. 2. Play the chant. 3. Encourage students to follow chanting. 4. Put these word cards on the blackboard: zoo/park/school/hospital/supermarket/bookshop 5. Have students read these new words loudly in class. 6. Make a word game: guessing the places. Step3: Sentence patterns1 1. Play the course ware and show students how to do the activity. 2. Ask and answer: T: Where is Bill? (Point to the zoo) S1: He is at the zoo. 3. Have students work in pairs. Teacher walk around and check. 4. Let some students present in the front. Step4: Sentence patterns2 1. Play the course ware and show students a dialogue. 2. Ask and answer: T: Where is Bill going? (Point to the park) S1: He is going to the park. 3. Have students work in groups. Teacher walk around and check. 4. Let some students present in the front. Step5: Conclusion and homework 课后反思：本节课作为Unit4开课，内容丰富紧凑，而且新句型的运用对于学生而言有一定难度。但学生课堂表现优异，单词操练到位，句子表达合格，基本上学生们都掌握到了知识点，并且了解其用法。但在语境设计上，这节课还

有所欠缺，时间较短，因此节奏较快，学生们的句子操练还可以再延长些。在之后的课堂中我会着重强化这几点。
