2:Review the months : Listen to the chant of lesson 1 that they have learned. Teacher says :“What months can you hear ?”Ss: “January”,and so on. Then write down these words according to the students tell ,next ,tell the Ss you can listen to these words. Can you read? Play the ppt and give them some order .Eg: read fast /slow three times.When they read cake I ask :When can we eat cake?Ss: Birthdays. I tell Ss today we continue to talk about birthdays .T: My birthday is July. How about you? Ss:My birthday is ____. To go over the sentence of lesson1

Purpose: Attack the Ss’

interest and review the words of the months they have already know.At the same time it provides situations to review the key sentence. and do some preparations for the next steps.

Step1:Watching and thinking I present the picture of Lilly and Bill .Ask Ss when is Lilly’s birthday? Ss listen to the dialogue and find out this question. Step2: Text learning Play the text again,tell the Ss find out how to ask your friends’ birthday? Ss find the answer and say :When is your birthday? Then write down and teach the new sentence.Now, I’m Lily can you ask me ?Ss: When is your birthday? T:It’s in November. Write down the sentence on the blackboard.play a question and answer game. Step3:Act out Let Ss try to act out the dialogue with a partner after they’ve been very familiar with the content. And I will give them two models. Model1 (one star): They can ask and answer the key sentences.

Model2:They can get two stars to act out the whole dialogue . Purpose:Task-based teaching method is used here to develop Ss’ ability of language expression and also their ability of cooperation will be well trained. .四、知识点延伸（学科内和学科外），拓展教学目标

1.Lucky guy Tell the Ss lily’s birthday is in November ,if your birthday is in November too please stand up.T leads the whole class to ask“When is your birthday?”

The standing student should say“It’s in November.”Tell Ss Now, let’s choose other lucky guys. If the hand points to December .They should do it like step 1. Purpose:To practice the key sentence when is your birthday. And do some preparations for train game.

Decorate the cake

Tell Ss someone's birthday is in December, and now is December. Please say happy birthday to them. And we have a birthday cake for them .I think the cake is not very beautiful,but you can finish the train game to make it more beautiful.Let’s have a try. Tell the Ss my birthday is in July and find out the birthday card to stick on the cake.Then, ask one student to answer when is your birthday ?Next, he choose his birthday card to stick on the cake.After that,the student goes to ask another people to play this train game.If they finish this task the cake will become more beautiful like this.

Purpose:To check the knowledge Ss have learned in this period,and do some preparations for let's survey.
