Lesson 19 Christmas Is Coming !教学设计
㈠教材分析
本课介绍了北美文化中一个十分重要的节日--- 圣诞节,通过了解圣诞节的起源、传统、习俗、培养孩子们的跨文化意识,使他们在轻松、愉快的气氛中达到语言学习目的。
㈡学生分析
本节授课对象是六年级的学生。该年龄阶段的孩子天真、活泼,喜乐好动,具有强烈的表现欲和求知欲。他们有一定的英语基础,具有自己动手搜集信息的能力,对西方文化充满着好奇和渴望,这就要求老师为他们提供一个开放而富有活力的课堂,这个开放需要融合,让英语语言的学习和实践贯穿于多个学科的活动中,借助信息技术等多种手段尽量给他们提供真实的语言情境。
一、
知识目标:
(1)使学生四会有关圣诞节的单词: Christmas , Christmas tree, Christmas lights, Santa,
holiday.
(2)使学生掌握三会单词
song / toys/ bring/ give/ invite/carols
二、能力目标:
(1)能熟读并理解课文内容,了解中西文化差异,了解圣诞节以及在圣诞节时的活动。(2)能根据所学的词汇和句子,简单介绍圣诞节。(3) 培养学生在课堂交流中的倾听和思考习惯。
三、情感目标:
使学生了解有关西方国家最盛大的节日---- 圣诞节,培养学生的跨文化意识和学习英语的兴趣。
四、本课教学重点,难点
掌握四会单词Christmas,Christmas tree, lights, Santa ,holiday等词组和单词。
五、教学流程
Class opening
1.Greetings
T:Hello! Boys and girls. Nice to see you ! Are you ready for our class?
At first,please answer my questions. ---How’s the weather today? ---What’s the date today? ---What season is it now?
T:Very good!Today I invite many teachers to our school,You should try your best to learn it.Because today I bring many gifts, “gift”
do you know? if you can listen carefully ,think hard and answer my questions,I will give you the score,let’s see which group will be the winner and I will give you the gift. (设计意图:轻松愉快的课前谈话,使学生进入英语课堂情境,问题的思考刺激学生的思维,使学生初步养成认真倾听,认真思考作答的习惯。课前介绍以及物质“引诱”渗透本课单词“invite、bring、gift为下面的教学做好铺垫,另外激发学生学习的积极性)
2.Play a game”What holiday is it?”
T:At first, I will show some pictures. Please look at these pictures. What are they? Do you know?
(课件依次呈现四个节日的图片和单词:Children’s Day, National Day, Teachers’
Day , Spring festival)
T: They are all holidays. Holiday, do you know? Can you guess? (教师利用单词卡片领读并拼读单词holiday)
(设计意图:以旧引新,让学生轻松感知单词“holiday”的意思)
2.New concept
Step1:教授单词Christmas ,christmas tree ,lights ,santa ,holiday T: They are all eastern holidays. In western country,There is an important holiday .do you want to know?
<1>.课件播放圣诞节的画面,让学生身临其境去感受。
(设计意图:用形象生动的视听画面,使学生感知圣诞节浓浓的节日气氛,增强学生对圣诞节的理解,激发学生学习的兴趣)
<2>.Ask questions:
①Do you know “What holiday is it?”(教授并张贴单词Christmas) T:Christmas is coming. It’s a special holiday in weatern country,just like the spring festival in China .Do you know special?What’s the meaning?(生答:特殊的)Why is Christmas spesial? ②教授单词Christmas tree ,lights ,santa
T:What can you see on Christmas?(幻灯出示圣诞节画面)
T: What is this?
What are these?
Who is he?
S: Christmas tree ,lights ,santa(黑板张贴单词)
(出示实物,让学生真实的感受单词和句子的意思,为提问设置情景)
T: Is the Christmas tree beautiful?
Where are the Christmas lights?
Who is he? Do you love Santa? Why? (适时教授单词:merry bring toy)
(设计意图:课堂提问激发学生积极思考的欲望,培养学生认真倾听的习惯)

(设计意图:“看口型猜单词”使学生的注意力聚焦在老师身上,使无意注意转为有意注意,猜单词的过程极大地调动了学生的思维,使每个学生全参与了进来)

Santa is a merry man (设计意图:朗朗上口的节奏加上本课的单词,寓教于乐使学生轻松掌握,感受到学习的快乐!)

4.Listen to the tape and read it
(设计意图:跟读课文的过程也是学生自我反思调整学习状态的过程,使学生养成好的听力习惯)
5.Describe Christmas
1、Say it by yourself
T: Now I think you know many things abour Christmas.can you use the words and sentences describe Christmas?
Requirements: 1..Everyone can only say one sentence. 2. Each of students say the sentence can not be repeated
(设计意图:让每个学生只说一句,并且每个学生的回答不能重复,这一设计目的在于扩大学生的参与面,是每个学生都有发言的机会,而且有意地培养学生认真倾听他人发言的习惯和自我积极思考的习惯,此外也使学生对本课的学习内化掌握,对所学知识活学活用。
2.Listen and write down
T:Let’s review the words and write down as many as possible (设计意图:梳理本课单词,吸引学生的注意,眼到,心到,手到,调动学生的各种感官参与学习,使全班学生参与其中,使课堂呈现高效,落实教学目标)
6.(幻灯展示)
