Contents 1. Sing a song

Is it a circle? Methods (1) Sing together. (2) Ask and answer

Purpose 通过歌曲和问答为新单词的学习做铺垫，为后面的新授埋下伏笔。

II. While-task procedure:

1. circle

It’s a circle. 通过故事的叙述引出单词，再以实物的描述来进行操练。

2. heart

(1) Teach the word. (2) Chant. 随着故事的推进引入新授第二个单词。用Chant的形式巩固heart。

通过Piggy造的房子的屋顶是三角形引入新单词，然后游戏数数三角形的数量及巩固单词，又训练了数学思维，也抓住了学生的注意力。

3. triangle

4. rectangle

(1) Teach : rectangle (2) Riddle : What is it?

故事发展到屋子的门是长方形的，很小，但妈妈很胖，进不去，自然引出单词square。再用猜谜语的游戏激发学生学习英语的激情。

5 square

(1) Teach: square (2) Compare: What is a square?

How many squares? 木匠为妈妈把门改成了正方形以后，门变大了，妈妈进得去了，单词square也自然的呈现在学生的面前。接着通过对比的方法让学生加深对新单词的记忆。

I have a big square. It’s like a wall. 通过猜猜房子的窗是什么形状的来引入star的教学，使学生在玩中学，提高学生的学习兴趣。歌曲的演唱也能使学生充分活跃起来。

通过故事结尾木匠因为给他的朋友家具，他的朋友们很喜欢而感到高兴，对学生进行的德育的渗透。
