Step 1: Warm up

Students: 跟着视频边跳边唱歌曲If you are happy .

Teacher: how are you feeling now? Are you happy?

Students: yes

Teacher: I am happy too.because we meet again ,ok, now we are going to learn a new unit , unit 4, He Lives in a Village.

Step2: presentation

1.The teacher shows the picture in the screen and learn the words : bird、snake、potato、tomato、village、river、lake. .

2.listen to the tape

3.read the words by following the teacher. 4.the teacher select some students to read the words.

5.Learn the words by putting the words into sentence patten:

-What is in the picture?

-It is a .../They are ...

Step3: Practice

1. Read the words with your partners and the teacher observes whether they can read the words correctly.

2.Learn the words by doing some actions.

3.cards checking .in this part, the teacher shows the picture and let the students speak the picture in English.

Step4: Sum up
