Step 1. Warming up 1.

Greetings. 2.

Everyday English. Teacher shows a map of China on the screen. T: Look! What’s this? Ss: It’s a map.

T: Yes, it’s a map of China. Where do you live? Can you show me in the map? Teacher asks one of the students to find out Shaanxi Province in the map. T: This province is Shaanxi. Do you live in Shaanxi? Ss: Yes, I do. T: So do I. I live in Shaanxi, too. In Shaanxi, you can visit many places of Historical Interest, such as the Terra-cotta Warriors. It is one of the eight wonders of the world. And then, I’d like to show you some pictures. After that, you should tell me what you saw. Teacher shows the pictures of the Great Wall, the West Lake, Mount Tai, Huangguoshu Falls, the Stone Forest. Students say the Chinese names of the places. Teacher encourages them to introduce the locations of the places at the same time. Teacher introduces the English names of them and show them on the map. Step 2. Revision 1.
