Maddy’s Christmas 一、教材分析

本课是冀教版小学英语三年级起始六年级上册第四单最后一节故事课。本单元的主题是”Christmas”,重点讲授西方重要节日圣诞节及其传统相关的基本词汇和表达方式,围绕Jenny的家人,Danny,Li Ming共度圣诞节展开。

这节课是本单元的最后一节故事课,其内容围绕主人公Maddy的圣诞节而展开的,让我们懂得最好的礼物是“爱”。本课既对本单元的内容进行巩固,又有扩充,进一步帮助学生对圣诞节的有了更深层次的理解。

二、学情分析

本节课的授课对象是小学六年级,柏林南路小学六年级是班容量较大的一个年级,平均每个班64名学生。经过前三年的学习英语的积淀,他们初步具备了提取关键信息并进行简单复述的能力,在本节课的讲解中也注重调动学生这方面的能力,让他们通问题来提取相关信息,通过图片和关键词进行简单的复述故事。我校六年级学生在回答问题方面不是很积极,一是比较害羞,二是怕回答错误被人嘲笑。针对这个问题我采取两队PK,让学生在竞争中学会释放自己,不要太板正。而且让他们通过这些活动对Maddy的圣诞节有个初步了解,使他们继续保持对圣诞节的兴趣。

三、教学目标分析

学生能借助图片、视频和文字等读懂故事。

在老师指导下,学生能根据问题,借助速读、详读的阅读策略,从文本中准确提取有效信息并作出正确回答。

3.

学生在读懂故事的前提下,能够运用所学英语积极的进行表达

并能根据自身实际情况在图片、关键词的提示中进行简要的复述。

Today we learn Maddy’s Christmas.

通过实物引入,能立即引起学生的兴趣,再通过提问相关的问题,让学生立即进入学习本课的状态。

Presentation 一、Pre-reading.

T:

Look, she is Maddy, she is a big monster. Today is December 24th. What does Maddy do today?

二、While-reading. T: What did Maddy do yesterday? What is Maddy going to do tomorrow? These are some words, Read story and order.(快速浏览,把相应单词或词组排序)

利用时间发展的顺序,帮助学生捋清楚这节课主线。

让学生运用略读的阅读的策略,锻炼其快速提取关键信息的能力。

T: Yes, Maddy is a monster, she is very big.

Look, Santa is always in the shop, because Christmas is coming. When Santa saw them, what did Santa say?

S: When Santa saw Anna, Santa said:”

What would you like for Christmas?”

S: When Santa saw Maddy, Santa said:” Yikes”. T: You’re right, Santa was afraid of Maddy. Read this part again, then let’s play a role.

T: Excellent. Today is December 24th , what does Maddy’s family do? S: They put up the Christmas tree. T: How does they put up the Christmas tree. S: They put a star on the tree. Then Maddy’s father and mother put gifts under the tree. Maddy’s brother and sister put gifts under the tree, too. Maddy puts a card on the tree. T: Great! Maddy’s family are getting ready for Christmas, tomorrow is Christmas, What is she going to do? Read this story carefully and find answers.( 仔细阅读故事,寻找答案)

S: She is going to invite my aunt, uncle and cousins for dinner. She is going to open their gifts and sing Christmas songs.

T: What do you think about Maddy’s gift? S: ....... T: Right, Maddy’s gifts is that she loves her family. It’s the biggest gift of all. Let’s enjoy Maddy’s love.
